My preparations for this are going well. All sharp implements and dangerous medications are ready to be secured in a strongbox that only Mrs. Japhet has the key to. A comfy space has been created behind the sofa with a spy hole through which I can see the TV. As an emergency contingency, the shed has been lined with padded material, blackout curtains ready to be drawn and Groove Amada ready to play through the headphones. I have enough supplies for the week it may take me to recover.

Edit; As an afterthought I've also attached a remote self destruct device to the internet router.

I'm going out for a mate's 30th and will miss the game.

Oh, how sad, never mind.

Can't stand that they could become the invincibles, so would make my season if we could beat them, but am fearing a Bayern score line

Looking at the What Our Opponents Fans are Saying About Us thread the Pool fans are rightly very confident with a few thinking Mourinho knows how to stifle them and go all out defence.

So far Jose hasn't gone down the park the bus route. I thought he'd start us off by trying to make us hard to beat and build from the back.

He has done the opposite and it has got us points but also some bad results. I see us trying to play Liverpool but failing.

A very close friend of mine is getting married. When he announced the date and time I was initially gutted. I must admit that now, I'm somewhat relieved. It's going to be a dreadful 90 minutes.

We havent got the midfield to park the bus as we only have one central defensive midfielder. Unless he puts a centre back in there of course. But to do that at home and then go on to lose would be opening him up to all kinds of criticism. If we were away from home I think he'd have no qualms about starting a defender in midfield.

I think Liverpool will go unbeaten this season, they are just too good and also seem to have luck on their side. I will be over the moon with a 3-0 defeat. We are simply not at their level anymore. The rapid decline for us has been quite sad actually. The CL final was the end of an era for us and the beginning of a new one for them.

It will take us several seasons to be able to compete against Klopps side.

Over the moon with a 3-0 defeat? give your head a wobble ya big sausage...not expecting anything from the game and you are right they are streets ahead but I'll be fucked if I'd ever be happy with a 3-0 defeat especially at home.

Jose might want to play a defensive system to stifle them, but we simply don't have the players with the quality and inclination to do that. All that will do is guarantee we score nil.
I expect us to do our usual recent thing- concede extremely early through foolish defending, huff and puff a bit without threatening much, then go two down before half time. The changes we make at half time won't make much difference, then Liverpool get a third and the whole thing fizzles out. This is what will happen, trust me.
Giving the game the swerve, have other commitments, not sad.

4-0 Liverpool.

Sorry but I just can't see any result other than us getting murdered. I probably won't even bother watching it.

Insane that we went from let's bring it on we can beat everyone to this pessimistic state within one year while reaching the CL Final.
:(

I can not see anything else than a loss either...
