Jesus christ I've set the liverpool fans off on Twitter by saying Robertson should have been sent off for his high challenge. Literally cant say a word about them or their players. They're a bunch of fucking snowflakes.

I muted the word Liverpool and everything to do with that club years ago on twitter. Do it. It’s a much nicer experience!

Every game against them is so disheartening. Thinking of where both the clubs were a couple a years ago, they backed a manager and pushed on. We fucked around and it all blew up.

Exactly. We could have signed 2 players in their team (Mane and Wijnaldum) as we were in the CL at the time and Liverpool weren't. Couldn't even get Grealish over the line when Villa weren't promoted. Getting him on board would have reduced our vulnerability to the shambles the Eriksen situation developed into.

Just look at Leicester, a couple of smart, sensible and not overly expensive signings in Maddison and Tielemans really kicked them on a level. We were right there, Poch kept calling for new signings, a new cycle, a new chapter but we didn't strike when the iron was hot so there we are with a shiny new stadium but a shell of a team to watch in it.

We did ok. Needed to be a bit more clinical. But we always get better when he puts on Lamela and Lo Celso he needs to grow a pair and start them.

I know we are a bigger club than Leicester, but the abuse we received from the Sky Sports pundits compared to their education from Liverpool was totally wrong

It's just not true. We've spend more net than they have. The difference is that Klopp decided to sell a key asset and re-invest, Poch decided to keep the exciting team we already had together. Very, very few on here would have disagreed with him at the time and said we should try to sell one of our stars to Barcelona to raise funds.

So I really liked the effort the players put in and we did compete particularly in the second but do i think it was a good performance? No.

Look I guess it depends on what we are now... have we regressed so much that we are now happy with kicking and chasing and chasing and kicking? Are we happy with bus parking? If we are - then yeah it was a good performance

My view is i think Lamela and GLC should have started but certainly Lamela over CE. I think we could have shown a bit more ambition and creativity and we had the players to do that - it is not like we would have lost much by way of defending given the starting midfield wasnt exactly brimming with DMs.

I actually think they were there for the taking, again like the CL game - I think we could have done more damage to them had we just been more gutsy. The last 15 minutes was more like it and whilst we may not have been able to sustain that and we may have even lost but id rather have started with that approach. We played ok but i wouldnt be happy with kicking and chasing going forward.

We move on now

He's a great player at the end of the day and great players can have great moments even when they have a bad run of form.

I agree he is a great player but he clearly doesn't want to be that here. It's one thing being on bad form but you can still take good free kicks or play balls forward. This is a year now and I'm a huge fan of Pochs original philosophy of form dictates of you play, that approach worked and today Eriksen hasn't been good enough again.

I wish him all the luck for the future but Spurs come first, then players

Jose's take is that Lamela and LoCelso weren't fit enough to start and we couldn't play the way we ended from the outset..

We may have been better today second half but I’m struggling to see where our goals will come from with Kane out. We need another striker. I wish parrott had been on the bench so he could of come on for 10 minutes. He needs to play some part v Boro.

I agree with you completely. The amazing thing is we have the players to do it but we just don't want to play to their strengths. CE has clearly decided he just picking up his pay cheque and won't try to get out of this funk he in. However, GLC and Lamela both show every game they play they want to turn this around and are rewarded with a place in the bench. I just don't get it.

Players in bad form happen all the time, whether it be club or individuals, but it's the desire to fix it that helps them over come it. Let's play the players that want to play. If rather lose trying to win than lose trying nothing.

Based on the second half where we tried to play, we got a draw, but the first half where we were negative is what cost us.

Robertson bad challenge on Tanganga and he also kicked out at Toby. Should have been 2yellows. But as usual never mentioned. Shocking.

He’s an absolute **** of a footballer. I don’t wish injury on any player and I won’t with him but if he does land awkwardly or get smashed that means he misses a few games...I’ll laugh. Wanker

What’s annoyed me tonight is that we saw how good tanganga was in pre season. Yet we have waited for over half a season to see him in action

Just back from the game and thought we deserved at least a point from it

10 out of the 11 players who started the game should be really proud of the effort they put in. Eriksen just needs to go ASAP. The reaction he received from the crowd when he was subbed, as well as the stick he got during the match says all you need to know about his performance today.

Tanganga looks a real prospect and made a very promising league debut. He handled the physical presence of Maine very well and did’nt look to bad when shifted to LB when Rose was subbed.

Disappointed with the result after the effort our players put in and our 2nd half performance. With our injury list I thought Liverpool would slaughter us and we’d be lucky to escape with a 2 or 3 goal deficit. As it was I left the ground feeling optimistic, not just about the rest of this season, but next season as well.

He said post match that Lamela isn't in a condition to play longer than he did, and that we needed to get to a certain point in the game staying in the match before we took the risk of playing the 2 of them. I tend to agree, it's just that we have poor midfield options otherwise at present.
