Not much we can do with a shit referee like that. He killed the game with a horrible pen. After that Liverpool could play their game, counter attacking. A referee that ref in the slovenian league should not get a final like this.

Put some decent crosses in during the last 20 mins but completely pointless without Llorente on the field at the time.

Winning the final was a tough ask to start with against a formidable Liverpool side but in effect repeating our end of season performances simply isn’t good enough if we’re wanting to class ourselves as one of the big boys. We’re way too predictable and in need of serious fresh blood.

Lucky because we are so shit? If so then yea. They are ucky. But the real reason is Spurs midfield been absolute garbage, so much of possession and surprising amount of time and space, yet doing jack shit with the ball once they approach the final third

stop with the fucking pass back to lloris then sideways pass around your own penalty area... this is champs league final and you are down ffs. If the passes around penalty box was a tactical decision then its absolute failure

It's hard though when you have four players up front all stood in a huddle in the centre of the pitch, none of them showing for the ball, all bar Eriksen half hidden behind players, there was a total lack of urgency and willingness to probe for space or make a run - bar the speculative long ball in behind.

It's going to be static possession ball when there are virtually zero outlets.

I’m gutted ? We actually played quite well but out inexperience showed tonight

But I will stay positive, we got to the CL final with this team, just imagine what we can do if the board actually backs Poch
Proud of the boys ???

That’s the problem - we are a business first, football club second.

Pas caring now - its only football

Have no idea what's with the argument of the lineup. All the lads were fit, Kane was fit. The game was a cautious one. The fucking first minute penalty threw all momentum right from the fucking start. We were disadvantage from the worse possible beginning.

Will starting Moura gave us an equaliser or prevented the penalty? Hindsight is always 20/20. Eriksen is fit but he still played mediocre. The whole team was mediocre because the fucking penalty affected everyone. Moura would have been the same. Kane is a leader, he starts if he's fit.

@Barmy_in_Palmy @dontcallme @nailsy can you tell me Kane deserved to start, or that he’s fit or that he deserved to start over Lucas?
I don’t think he deserved to start, I don’t think he didn’t deserve to start. If he scored he deserved to start and if he doesn’t start he doesn’t score. There was no right answer and it’s easy to claim otherwise after the fact.

Very very disappointing. Nothing to cheer all night. Losing from the first minute.

Got to copy Liverpool now.

Go get the players we need, even if it costs us big money. Big change ahead I feel this summer.

I think Harry has stitched his team mates up a bit tonight. Didn’t do anything for me. Should t have started.
As bad as Harry was, I actually think Dele and Son were worse. Kane had zero to work with all game.

Not going to dig any one out. What's the point. It was a case of every single one of them freezing on the night. Our levels of possession are entirely misleading as it seemed that Liverpool were only too happy to let us have the ball knowing the ball into the channels was on every time. When we got into the final third and composure was required the players were just going blank. Liverpool defended pretty well, make no mistake, but there were things we could have done, things were normally would have done. Tonight...we just didn't. The over-riding feeling in that dressing room will be one of frustration. Not disappointment. Liverpool didn't beat us. We did.

Hopefully this isn't the end. Hopefully its the beginning of something much more special. This hurts, let's not waste that feeling.

Poch might hopefully have finally got the message that playing KaneKane coming back from injury is not the best option.
Not sure he's even going to get past these injuries and he looks nothing like the player he was few years back.

This team needs to be refreshed on a big scale We've become extremely, predicatble, slow and boring.

I love Kane. I love Poch. But, experience tells us that Harry takes a few games to get up to speed after an injury lay-off. Starting him tonight was a risk. Leaving him on when he was so ineffective was ridiculous.

That said, I’m incredibly proud of Poch and the squad. We’ve had a great run but... I’m just left with this overriding feeling that it was there for the taking tonight

Well, this season as a sum up,...If we'd spent some money on players we'd have won something...just like Liverpool. Great stadium, put a performance like that every week, great empty stadium. Well done spurs (low cap intended) nothing again.

I hope all of those who are dumping on their (our) team in this forum are just using this as a way of coping. Spurs were the better team in the CL final. I'm going to be proud of them.

Game was lost first 30 seconds, moment of stupidity and bad luck. Ruined my night from then on, I mean talk about playing an entire game with one hand tied behind your back.
