I can't help but feel like this is meant to be. After all we've been through, after all the close shaves and fight we've put in to make this Final possible, it just seems written in the stars that we will bring home the Champions League Trophy.

My God, I never ever thought I'd be privileged enough as a Spurs supporter to see our boys play in a CL final. It is still so surreal too me.

I cannot wait to soak up every last second of the build up and game. Regardless of the result, the boys need to have the courage and fight to take the game to Liverpool. Win and we will be written into the history books, lose and we will still have our heads held high for making it this far.

Shoot for the stars and if we miss we will still land on the moon. I want to see 110% belief from the fans on this forum and around the world. Let's cut out any negative bullshit and simply enjoy this moment together. We may never have this opportunity again.

Me: I don't think we'll get out of the group.
Tottenham: Shut the fuck up.

Me: I Don't think we'll get past City.
Tottenham: Shut the fuck up.

Me: I don't think we'll get past Ajax.
Tottenham: Shut the fuck up.

Me: Honestly I don't think we'll beat Liverpool.
So for one last time Tottenham, please, for the love of god, shut me the fuck up.

I'm 62 and never thought I would get to see us in our New Stadium let alone a CL final in the same year. To win it would mean so much to the club, much more than if the Scousers do. Not only would we gain a lot of new fans across the globe, but financially and morale wise as well.
I would go along with what others have said about the feeling of winning it, but really concerned of the optimism shown in here. Over 55 years of supporting this team I have had too many false dawns and disappointments to believe we will do this, but pray to the football gods (if there are any) that we do, and if that fails my two litres of Tequila will be my comfort.
I will try and enjoy the whole build up and the game as much as I can and if we don't manage it I will still remember the day for as long as I have left, unless the Tequila takes over completely.
To wake up on Sunday morning as Champions of Europe will surpass anything I have experienced as a Spurs supporter.

63 here GF.

Succinctly put. Massively similar feelings, thoughts and expectations.

But it will be a beer and cider night for me. With cashew nuts.

I just want to feel the experience of seeing my team finally succeed, we have had some great wins the past few years but they're always a part of a bigger picture and eventually there's been that big moment of disappointment, I just want to see them go all the way and that huge feeling of seeing them achieve it won't ever be taken away. We've all had to suffer the feeling of bitter disappointment far too often and for many of us with England also. I really want that experience of seeing them do it.

I will be at the new Stadium for the first time on Saturday watching my beloved Spurs in the Champions League final. How great is that? Bring it home, Poch.

I see some of us already are or have for some time been laying the groundwork for mental management in the possible (probable?) event of disappointment that might arise from the CL final. Sorry to break this to you, but the possibility of disappointment is inherent in such big games. It is a part of the game. You can't plan it away or rationalise it away or tell yourself you'll be fine either way.

Disappointment will hit you if the team performs underwhelmingly it is inevitable. So rather than building the corner stones now for accepting a loss in the future; be fine with possibly becoming disappointed or heart broken. You don't just participate in a final and call it glory. The glass half full approach – save that for the tedious, rainy winter matches vs. Watford and Villa. This is a CL final – you don't just merely compete in it. You WIN it or you are not glorious. You fight and never surrender, or there will be disappointment. Competing at this level, you don't rationalise away fear of losing, you accept full on the possibility of a loss and you grab that bull by the horns.

We will win, or we will fail. One path is glorious, one path is forgettable. One will lead to hymns for the immortal, the other will be the sad swan song of the season.

If we don't win, that will be forgotten, just like we some day will forget what could have been, and the heart break that followed. So let's not hedge our bets and mentally try to cope in advance – let's talk about the shot at becoming immortal champions.
