It's all bollocks though isn't it? Arms locked against your sides is about as unnatural a position as it gets, but apparently that's acceptable.

Yeah it is bollocks, but the powers that be like to meddle. In the interest of balance I will say that the meddling that changed the back pass rule was a good one and some will say the changes in offside to include “phases of play” has allowed more goals to stand.

This handball one though I will never be convinced is a good change.

Yeh Spanish press thought the handball was very controversial indeed

We had a great run in a champions league. getting to the finals is a fantastic achievement for the club.

we always knew we had to play to our very best to beat liverpool. unfortunately. it wasn't our night.

I am sure we will learn from nights like this, and hopefully we will work even harder to get it the next time around.

i am sad and disappointed, but we need to look back and take heart for our great european campaign this season.

truely memorable.

having some time to reflect... and get back down to earth... and seeing all the liverpool jerseys today...

absolutely gutted.

but at the same time, proud of the achievement we made.

I said something like that after we got knocked out from our first champions league campaign, and it was something like "now that we got a taste of it, i hope everyone will hunger for more of it"

i hope it stay true, that this is only the first of many champions league finals in our lifetime.

COYS. thanks for the ride, love you guys.

I can't help but think that it's partly designed to allow corrupt officials the ability to side step any responsibility for the decisions they make. You get a couple of pundits on the telly enforcing the view that the decision was correct and the next thing you know it's a stonewall penalty, no questions asked, job done. People paid off to make bad decisions in full view of the world without repercussions.

Salah and Mane, two players we tried to sign if memory serves..

Historically we weren't a big enough club in their eyes to join us then. Sadly, in those days we were known as a selling club. Today we have come a long way (hopefully) to losing that tag. This current transfer window will be the proof of the pudding we have now joined the elite. Considering we never bought a player for 15 months and had some horrendous injuries to key players, we did wonderfully well to achieve what we did in my eyes. I feel DL and Poch sense that and will provide us with a team for next season that will do us proud.

One thing that I am so proud of is the fact that despite being outnumbered, we outsung the Liverpool fans and we really backed the team like never before...you won’t see it on the media or in clips but it happened.

No yellow cards all game. Thats embarrassing for both teams.
There should of been though. I thought the ref was incredibly reluctant to give yellows. TBF we had so much of the ball we were never going to be making too many tackles. The issue was we needed to take more risks, force more tackles.

You may well be right.

First year - crashed and burned. Players wanted it even more.
Second year - players blitzed a group containing Madrid and Dortmund only to get knocked about by a wise and wiry Juventus side. Massive learning experience.
Third Year - Struggled but maintained the fighting spirit throughout. Gained belief and became smarter and learned not to panic when a game was not going our way. Ultimately it's probably a lack of freshness and new ideas that meant we didn't win.

Next year - the experience is there, the belief and evidence to match should be there, now we need a boost of energy and new ideas and that will come from new faces.

Get it right and there is no reason why we can't fight for it again.

Not awarding a freekick for Rose when he was stuck up in the air in the 2nd half and the ref played advantage when there was none was a piss poor decision.
That could have been a yellow.

I think it was pretty even in the stadium itself in the end. I think both sets of fans came in tired from the heat, and it wasn't like we were constantly singing, but we did out sing them. Oh when the spurs in the second half was great, and temporarily out singing liverpool fans at the end of the match, and the good 10 minute applause at the end was very good.

These idiots that come up with these laws, have they ever played sport? Arms are needed at times to maintain balance - especially when falling.

On the ground I counted 3-4 yellows. two on Rose, one in the first 20 minutes, the elbow, I know it wasn't intentional but its dangerous play. One for Alex Arnold for time wasting (could also give one to Milner, Robertson and Allison). So I count 5, and I counted 1 for us.

Now I'm not expecting all of them to be bookings, but some of them should of been.
