Sad reality is we have a bunch of average players who we over rate. Players like Johnson are just simply average mid table players and they score a couple of goals and we think of them as world beaters. We shop in the mid table market and buy mid table players and that’s why we are where we are.

with very few exceptions we do not have elite players, and we have a culture of mediocrity engrained into the brick work of the club for decades such that shit like this is not just expected but accepted.

As I've said one hundred times before, sack Ange, don't sack Ange it will make no bloody difference - whoever we get we will be having same tedious conversations in under 18 months.

It's all down to Levy and how this club is run and for what.

Shifting him will be impossible until he wants to be shifted, but for the love of G-D can we fans at least make every single game at WHL, a horrible nasty experience for him (non-violent, non- racist in case that needs saying).

This is exactly where I am at. A new manager would just be rinse and repeat. The ownership is only interested in the bank balance. Sporting success is just an afterthought.

The only consolation I have is that on our day we can beat anyone and hopefully that will be enough to win a cup. Final League position though will be anywhere from 4th to 12th, I really couldn’t predict it.
The players aren't good enough. We aren't buying top 4 quality players, we're buying potential, relying on an ageing son & taking a punt on Werner. We signed one player in the summer who improved the 1st eleven & that was mainly because of his reliability in terms of being fit to play. In terms of quality Solanke isn't a big improvement on Richarlison.

Need an excuse to get out for mental health reasons . Spurs rarely a positive for me and most of the time very obsessive due to my personality. So I'm gonna take this one.

Love the lot of you and I'll gladly jump back on the bandwagon if we ever get anywhere 😆

When the fun stops. Stop ha ❤️

Arne Slot was the one wasn’t he, much more balanced tactics.

I still really like Ange but the ups and downs we are having are mostly due to the fact we can’t defend which is mostly down to the tactics.
I don’t disagree about Slot but you can’t judge how he’s doing with Liverpool with how he would have done at Spurs. He inherited a very good ready made squad there who were used to playing a very similar style to how he wants his team to play. All he’s had to do is tweak it a bit to make them less gung go and more defensively solid. At Tottenham he would have had to completely overhaul the squad and change their tactics. Pretty much what Postecoglu has had to do although I’d concede Slot would have been more pragmatic defensively than Ange.

I’m not in the Ange out camp just yet but I think Levy must be looking at a replacement. Isn’t that always how he gets the blame away from himself?
Levy is totally soulless and it wouldn’t
Surprise me at all if he is looking for a replacement. After what Lloris has said about him recently we all suspected what he is like and now we 100% know.

the real problem is he doesn’t care if he’s hated. How do you get someone like that out of your club?

Lame excuse, Jose or Conte would have locked the changing room door and told them some home truths.

BBC: Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou was asked by Sky Sports about what work he could do over the international break.

"They all go away so there's nothing I can address in the next 13 days until I get them back.

To play the way we do we need a world class midfield and we simply don’t have it. They don’t protect the defence enough currently and we need upgrades on Bissouma and Bentancur, add to that I feel Sonny should be coming off the bench rather than starting, we also need a LW replacement that is up to speed.
We are at least two windows away from being where most of us think we should be but I still believe Ange should stay.

I would love to know how much time Ipswich wasted today. Just for lols. Felt about 40 minutes. It’s an absolute cancer on the game. I get it the lower teams need to see out matches. But this was Ridiculous.

Can’t keep a clean sheet
Can’t score first in a game
Can’t defend set pieces
Can’t cope with balls over the top
Can’t deliver consistent performances
Can’t cope with stop / start matches
Can’t find a way to “manage” games
Can’t find urgency unless chasing

not a good look

Never understood the rationale behind buying Solanke , he is literally a slightly better (at times) striker than Richarlison and we should've never paid anywhere close to 65M for a bang average striker like him. We made the same mistake with Richie and went ahead an repeated it again with Solanke. Our Transfer business makes absolutely no sense

To be honest, it’s pretty unacceptable to lose to Ipswich and Palace in quick succession.

5 losses in 11 PL games is ridiculous, we haven’t even played City or Liverpool
We’ll probably beat them 😅. That’s Tottenham’s eternal problem; we can turn up and turn it in in the big game only to go missing in action in the bread and butter games.
