As has been stated this brand of football is unsustainable for us.

If everything isn't perfect it collapses like a pack of cards.

Ange's style of football is more suited to bigger clubs than us who can keep the levels with stronger squads.

If Fulham were more clinical they would have been out of sight.

it is at least obvious t hat our transfer window was a total flopp. as Ange clearly do not trust any of them to make any diference. as he just brings them on in panick the last 10 minutes, and he actually takes of our only player to open the team up

Brennan Johnson is such a weird player. Slowest quick player I’ve ever seen. He offers absolutely nothing all game in general play but nearly always scores.

Considering none of our other wide forwards can score a goal I guess he’s a lock for now. Definitely needs upgrading next season.

Fulham had so much space every time they got the ball.

Our press was one of the worst I've seen. For every press the first man would go towards the man with the ball, yet the second press behind was a good second off, followed by the 3rd and the 4th so Fulham could quite easily pass around us every time. Then as we'd gone for a press it left so much space once Fulham inevitably got out of it.

If you're going to press, every player has to be on their man instantly or there is absolutely no point and we might as well just sit back and wait for them to give the ball away.

We've pressed well in previous games this season but today we were miles off it.
Maybe the kind of press you want only exists when our opposition are obliging. Otherwise, why doesn’t every team do it? Just because it’s Ange’s only trick doesn’t mean it’s a good one…

Had Solanke started I think we would of grinded out the win.

Fucking huge miss for us today.
Solanke. And Vicario, Romero, VdV, Bents and Kulu.

Anyone expecting us to simply roll over Fulham with more than half our usual starters missing is deluded.

Can’t complain about the result one bit but definitely disappointing not to have held on to a lucky victory. Looking at the table and how close it is our goal difference could start to come in very handy.

Need to just hang in there until January till we can get a couple of players in.

Can we finally acknowledge that Son might not be good enough anymore?
No because he'll score or assist in the next match and you'll get comments like "everyone tried to write him off and say he was done 😁" as if he's as good as he's always been. He was never quite as good as Salah, but when you consider the difference between the two was minimal 2 or 3 seasons ago, the drop off for Son is quite evident.

Don't get me wrong he's an absolute Spurs legend, but if he's not putting those chances away like he got in the first minute then he's not doing much else for us these days.

Werner's best for us when he's causing issues by running in behind - what space is going to be left when Fulham have everyone behind the ball?
I’m not Werner’s biggest fan by any means but what he also has over Son nowadays is the burst of pace to dig out some space for a cross so he’s not entirely useless in those situations.

There was plenty he could have done. Spence for Porro, Bergvall or Gray earlier, Lankshear for Son, leaving Werner on. Ange was passive when we needed energy.
I'm a great fan of Sonny, but he was really poor today, whilst on the other hand Werner played well so to sub off Werner made no sense at all.

I think we saw how important Solanke is to the way we play now.

Very ineffective without him (not helped by Son being dreadful)
Ball just kept coming back with no hold up or link play.

Collectively looked very leggy as well, a real low energy performance.

On the plus side Dragusin is improving with game time (as expected) looks like he could actually be a threat from (attacking) corners as well...

I’m going to try to be positive here. They always say, if you’re not playing well in a game and well enough to win it, then don’t lose it. We did that today, the first home draw in the PL in 27 games.

Too often this season and last when we have been under par we’ve lost games rather than drawn them.

Not great as we’re down to the bare arsebones with injuries but a small crumb of comfort to take from today.

We will have to show similar determination not to lose if we’re under the cosh away at Bournemouth. Dom will be back and maybe a few will be fresher than they looked today.

Sadly our additions were Bergval, Gray and Spence and Ange doesn’t think any of them are good enough to get any serious minutes even when the team is so obviously gassed. Ange needed to trust them today and get them on earlier and leaving Son out there was another odd decision.

Thing is the right winger in Ange's system will always score goals. Ange said it himself, he'd love to be a right winger in his system as it's all set up for that player to arrive at the end of moves and put the ball in the net.

I like Brennan but I don't think his goals should disguise the fact that he is rather limited. He doesn't beat his man nor does he have the footballing intelligence needed, often overhitting or not playing what should be rather simple balls.

Goals are almost a given for our right winger. We need more from that position with Brennan coming on as an impact sub.
