A few inevitable injuries and you're immediately down to youngsters and seemingly unwanted players. The club's squad building was its own choice. I hope they don't try and act innocent if this December period continues on like this.

And it almost physically hurts me to say but Son is near the end, certainly at Tottenham.

What's the point in getting angry at anyone. They looked spent.
I have a hard time debating anyone who disagrees with this.

It was inevitable that once we got into the thickness of tough games, injuries would happen.

Players like Deki and Solanke (who are key to how we play) can't play 90mins continuously.

City have been dominant because they give their main players a run on the bench so that they are ready for the tough run.

We were always going to hit a wall.

Problem is the media will spin it that this is the same old Tottenham - they beat a big team and can't follow it up.

Yet they'll omit the reasons why and some of our fan base will soak it up.

Same old. One week good, one week bad. I accept we will be inconsistent while working out our project....
It wouldn't be so bad if that were the case, but we aren't actually progressing any 'project'. We're just desperately trying to patch up a team week after week from those who are exhausted, mildly injured, chronically low on form, or 12 years old.

The 'project' has barely left the drawing board.

not having a striker has done us in, we need a striker for the tactics to work dragging out CBs but man oh man we looked dreadful. Im not even that mad because we were missing arguably our 5 most important players this season but man we looked gas after about 20 min

Clever from Ange taking off our only decent attackers on the day, and leaving all the dross on. Clearly saving them for midweek...🙃
He’s as frustrating as Conte, Nuno, and Mourinho with his team selections and especially subs.

How Son stayed on, I’ve no idea. In seasons past, he could play badly but score something out of nothing.
Nowadays, I’m more surprised when he scores at all, let alone when I don’t expect it. His decline is looking pretty steep.

I guess that’s what you get when you have the depth of squad we have. I’m sure Ange is going to get heaps but not sure what else he could have done. We worked hard and for me it was a lack of quality rather than effort or tactics today.
There was plenty he could have done. Spence for Porro, Bergvall or Gray earlier, Lankshear for Son, leaving Werner on. Ange was passive when we needed energy.

Fulham had so much space every time they got the ball.

Our press was one of the worst I've seen. For every press the first man would go towards the man with the ball, yet the second press behind was a good second off, followed by the 3rd and the 4th so Fulham could quite easily pass around us every time. Then as we'd gone for a press it left so much space once Fulham inevitably got out of it.

If you're going to press, every player has to be on their man instantly or there is absolutely no point and we might as well just sit back and wait for them to give the ball away.

We've pressed well in previous games this season but today we were miles off it.

It's because Gray is a much better prospect and we are better off giving him minutes tbh
Then Gray should of started for Porro.

Ange clearly doesn't rate Spence so it seems we only renewed his contract in order to retain his value. Which is ridiculous because our depth at fullback is a 18 year old midfielder.

For all this chat about how we only have one way of playing you’d think we’d not look like it’s the first time we’ve played together every other game. I don’t understand how we can be so inconsistent, I know we’ve got injuries but we did last week at City so why can’t we approach today like that?

Ange has been dealt a shit hand with how little we’ve strengthened the first team but there’s no excuse for us to continue to be this shit half the time.

Lucky to get a point.

Squad looks fucking knackered, zero options on the bench and a bunch of ho-hum forwards.

Werner off before Son was ridiculous. I really hope we’re not lining up a 3 year deal for Sonny. Love him, but he’s clearly declining this season.

It’s not a defeat I suppose. Every cloud.

We are very average and 8-10 is where this team belongs in my opinion, when you never can string 2 good matches together, it shows. Either this team have insanely intense training sessions every day or they are just lazy.

As the sheer lack of pressing and intensity looks like a team either not capable to run or they do not bother for their manager
Press just doesn’t work effectively with Son up front his pressing is reactive, we really didn’t have the legs to sustain any pressing today.

Really was a terrible performance.

The lack of rotation against Roma, knowing there was Fulham on Sunday was surprising. Need to make use of the squad.
And that backfired by botching it at the death....

Not sure about that, we smashed city last week, when we looked like world beaters
We'd beat anyone in the league if there was an agreement to "just play football, mate" but unfortunately there are 15 or 16 teams in the league who would actually just quite like the points, thanks, and they reliably make us look like total dross.

We looked gassed after 30 minutes and it's not going to get any easier with games coming thick and fast.

Fulham had so much more energy, and more than deserved the draw.

All very well having a way of playing and we ain't for changing, but when the players physically are obviously unable to do it three times in a week maybe another plan may help. Too many players looked fucked after about half an hour.

Aye we can't always play dross like, uh, Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.
