I don't think it's fair to say we should be beating Fulham. That mid pack of clubs have strengthened and are now much harder to play against than in previous years. Fulham, Bournemouth, Forest and Brentford are able to give any team a run for their money if that team doesn't give it their best.

Add to that our injury list and fatigue from midweek and this could easily go their way.

Man for man, I really don't think we're any better than them?

Son has been badly wasteful, our attack is incredibly lightweight.

A nil nil wouldn't be the end of the world, but our fixtures only get tougher from here.

This is when players need to step up their energy. Porro, Son, Timo, Johnson, Madders have all been lazy and checked out. Timo getting pulled up for an offside when jogging back into play is indicative of a front line playing without guile or urgency. You don’t get the feeling any of them actually want to win. But then again, the current front three out there have all shown in the past an unwillingness to get stuck in when things aren’t going their way. Tepid and indifferent. But what can Ange do? We have zero depth today.

Still should be doing better, against Fulham at Home.
Especially when we have tougher fixtures to come.
There are no easy games these days. With our strongest team, yeah, I agree. But Most teams now are well drilled and physically very fit so the players missing for us today is a bit of a leveller. I’d bite your arm off for a 1 nil win now.

Unfortunately a front three of Son, Werner and Johnson has no variation and no ralealy combination in it.

But thats literally all we have today

To me it just clearly looks like a team that's lacking a bit too much on the day. Not our first choice CB's or keeper, our best playmaker on the bench and no striker on the pitch. Werner's tried to do something a few times, Johnson is barely noticeable which he is always susceptible to being as such, and Son has been terrible.

The performance doesn't surprise me if I'm completely honest. Son taking one of his chances could have brought us to life a bit though and seen us push on.

The saving grace may be Kulusevski as he can raise the level of the whole team.

Well all things considered 0-0 at half time and definitely could have been worse. Feel for the manager having to cobble together a team that is already so inconsistent. Hope for his and the sake of this thread we come out on the positive side of today. I also hope this highlights to those up top that we desperately need more bodies across all areas of the team or Ange will have one hand tied behind his back for the rest of the season

Running on fumes. Son struggling in possession and his pressing has largely been reactive. Legs in midfield and a focal point up front needed, sadly we are looking threadbare.

Pedro Porro might as well not be playing when we don't have the ball. Absolutely absent
I think he has been challenged quite a bit down the right and not looked comfortable. Actually would prefer a bit of pace with Spence to become a bit more competitive with them.

Without solanke and Kulu we just look so one dimensional.

Really need to get in another CF to replace Richy.

Again a big priority for the second half will be to avoid conceding first. Sounds obvious but if we do it becomes so much more difficult with the way Fulham play.

Much needed but also more to it than that. The team set up is way too open in the transitions and this is for Ange to solve. However it feels like this is his philosophy to have the game wide open which can work if we are attacking with purpose and aggression. However, when the attack is so blunt and slow then you look extremely vulnerable with every loss of the ball

Agree. You can see how drilled they are when they don't have the ball. 2 banks of 4 immediately.
