REFEREE: ----- Graham Scott ???????
TEAM FORM --- Spurs - DLD
WL ---- Everton DLDWW ---(All Competitions)
Everton are win less in their last 14 Premier League (PL) meetings with us (D7 L7) since a 2-1 win in December 2012 at Goodison Park. They are looking to win back to back PL away games or the first time since September 2016. However, the Toffees have lost 77 of their 155 PL games in London (49.7%0, with only Newcastle losing more such away games in the competition (79).
Since Ancelotti's first game in charge of Everton on Boxing Day, only Liverpool, Man utd and Man City have earned more PL points than Everton (25 - W7 D4 L3). Everton's Tom Davies could make his 100th PL appearance in this game. At just 22 years and 6 days on the day of the game, he would be the second youngest player to reach 100 PL games for Everton, after Michael ball in December 2000 (12 yrs 68 d)
We have lost just 3 of our 27 PL games against Everton (W16 D8), and are unbeaten in our last 10 against them. Those 3 defeats came in 3 consecutive campaigns between 2006-07 and 2008-09. Our current 14 game unbeaten run against Everton is our joint longest run without defeat against a specific opponent in the PL (also 14 games against Sunderland between 2010-2017 and Swansea between 2011 -2018).
Jose has never lost a home game against Everton in his career, winning seven and drawing two of his nine games. He has only faced Man Utd more often at home without defeat in his Managerial career (10).
Kane has scored twice in each of his last PL games against Everton - no player has ever scored 2+ goals in 5 consecutive games against an opponent in the competition. When Harry and Son combine for Spurs consolation goal away at Sheffield United it was the 20th time they had combined for a PL goal, only the 12th duo to do so in PL history and the 3rd for Spurs., along with Sheringham and Anderton (27) and Kane and Eriksen (21).

I don’t think we will win as we aren’t playing well (nearly 2 years) and we don’t think we have anything to play for. Everton do and will want it more. Happy days.

Well I had us beating Sheffield Utd 3-0, so what do I know?

Just put a decent performance in lads!

Rest of the season is largely about JM getting a tune out of the team.

That said, I think the sheffield game was just a bump on the road. Looked far more organised vs man u and west ham. I am confident we will see a return to that.

Can see a methodical 1-1 out of this match, unless they find a way to get HK on the ball in dangerous areas.

I don't see us winning this game, best result I see is a draw.
Everton are on the up and knowing Mourinho we'll be blocked in defending attacks from Everton.

I'm really not looking forward to watching this at all. Which is a depressing thought in itself. I really hope we actually show up and play some good football, but I'm struggling to believe that will happen judging from, well, everything.

The Sheffield game is clouding judgement on the previous 2 matches where we played well. In the sheffield game we were fine up until they gave up post disallowed goal. Theres no reason for so much negativity.....

You wait - we’ll win 3-0 tonight and they’ll be loads touting us as champions next year!

We beat West Ham, so everyone predicted we’d win 3-0 against Sheffield United.

We lost against Sheffield United, so everyone is predicting we won’t win against Everton.

What do we learn from this? Predictions are bullshit. All of them, especially the ones that prove correct, because they encourage the predictor that they should try again.

The words “random” and “chance” come in useful at times like this ;)

Meeting of two of the "old guard" managers interests me more than the match itself.

It'll be a horrible tactical contest, and will inevitably end in a stale draw with the a mangers trying to cancel each other out. Neither will want to lose, both would probably settle for a draw if offered.

I have the Now TV app without sports but do an add on 7 euro monthly sub to have Sky Sports sent to the Iphone. Works for me.

No idea whether we'll win lose or draw. Just need to see a positive reaction after that second half debacle at Sheff Utd.
