Maybe I'm just a happy clueless supporter but I feel that the positivity the current and ex-players have in the club right now is genuine and gives a window in how special it is right now from where we have been. I'm all here for it

Pochettino used to train Tottenham, a London club. He now trains another London club, Chelsea. Tensions are high. Win, lose or draw. Those are the options for both teams. Let's get it on boys, this is what's at stake.

As others have said this is very talented Chelsea team and we must be patient. They surely have to be up for it, their next 2 games after this are City at home and Newcastle away. Their league position will be dire if they lose all 3. Lets smash them tonight and they can bounce back against City at the weekend. COYS.

They somehow seem to be talking about Harry Kane even more now that he's left.
Keep Kane and they will spend all season talking about Kane leaving when his contract is up
Sell Kane and they spend all season going on about how Kane is doing at his new club

Let’s just be thankful we’re doing better without him and he’s not at another PL club. Imagine us languishing in mid-table and him banging them in for City or United. That would’ve been truly unbearable.

Wouldn't take him back anyway.

Lost me with all that "Tottenham don't have a winning mentality" bullshit he was spewing the day he landed in Munich.

You were the captain you fucking moron.

The winning mentality was supposed to come from you.

Edit: vice-captain for the pedant's.

With our current form and their poor start to the season I've never been more confident about playing them. I think we'll lose.

About to go into the stadium, this is my least favourite game of the year but I’m feeling a tiny bit hopeful this time.

Pretty sure he didn't say that but understand why some fans have inferred it.

for me it's the perfect amicable divorce. I'm happy for him and have completely moved in.

COYS!

Always annoyed me that he was seen as hard done by for not winning anything with us despite never showing up in multiple finals.

I don't think he said that did he? Wasn’t it more along the lines of ‘Bayern are expected to win every match. It wasn’t like that at Tottenham.’ There’s a slight nuance. I don’t think it’s fair to pick apart everything he says in a press conference anyway, he’s a footballer not a PR rep.

I think this is the peak excitement I’ve felt for a match this season so far. Really looking forward to this. No doubt Chelsea will be a really tough test but we’ve got our best possible 11 out there tonight until Bentancur is back up to speed and it’s a seriously strong side.

Firstly he didn’t say that.

Secondly, he was never the captain. How can a Spurs fan not know that? 🤦🏻‍♂️

Nah he went further

Said how if you lose at Bayern if it's a disaster in the dressing room, but if you lost at Spurs nobody cared.

That was directly his responsibility as captain for me.

Vice captain if you want to split hairs.

Romero and Maddison take on bags of responsibility as vice captains.
