Not sure if it's been mentioned but we're Game of the Day on Sky Sports @ 8.30 tonight.

Today was exactly the response I wanted to see from the team after Wednesdays poor showing.

Our attacking play today was fantastic, the way Dele, Kane, Son and Moura linked up was the stuff of dreams. Kane’s two goals were real quality strikes, but Son’s goal was incredible and he showed real composure to slot home past the Burnley keeper. Really happy for Sissoko as well, who took his goal well after hitting the post in the first half.

Still looked a bit shaky at the back at times, but a clean sheet will do the lads confidence the world of good. You could tell how important the clean sheet was today by the way we took our foot of the gas in the 2nd half.

Also very pleased with Mourinhos subs today, giving valuable minutes to Sess, Skipp and Parrot.

To top it all off also saw the legend that is Moussa Dembele on the concourse on the way out of the ground.

I'm amazed to learn we aren't. :wideyed: He's factually the best pedigreed manager ever to have taken the hot seat at Spurs, and we are incredibly lucky to have him at our club.

Mourinho is having his name sung, think it was only once today (strangely) but it was two or three times last week.

Is this a serious question about the rainbow laces campaign, or?

Ye. All feels contrived. That and the racism campaign should be dealt with by fans. Whacking a rainbow up doesn’t really feel very effective. Call it out when you see it and it will go.

It was exactly the type of response that we were looking for, and it was refreshing to put 5 past a team we have struggled too often in the recent past to break down.
The bonuses were Chelsea dropping 3 points and keeping a clean sheet.

Still much work to do, but it's a step in the right direction.

Fans weren’t doing a great deal about it.

As it stands, football is now the sport doing the absolute most to eradicate racism and homophobia.

It’s absolutely right that the Premier League takes pride in that and shouts about it. As a club we’re incredibly inclusive, and again, it’s right that we shout about that.

I actually agree but it seems in practice, not enough people were doing it

The Prem is a business after all and its gotta be seen to try and do something.

I guess I just look at it differently. I don’t see 40 something year olds (surley the average age of a match going fan) changing their attitude because of a rainbow.

This is a society issue and should be focussed on in schools in my opinion.

Honestly haven’t heard any homophobia at a game in 10 plus years and I think that’s down to a society attitude shift rather than a campaign by football clubs.

Home from the game and all I can say is I am very pleased with the team today. :)
The Son goal was just everything we love about football and on the day he was presented with the Asian player of the year award, that would have been all around the world within the hour, it was absolutely wonderful.

Seriously? Wasn't it you made the comments about the guy committing suicide and delaying your train? If not I apologise but you come across as a cretin. You were more worried about the iron burn on your coat iirc.

Yeah, I can see why the racism campaign is needed, there are loads of incidents at football, but as you say I honestly cant even remember the last time I heard any homophobia at football.

Saying that it would've been great if all our players were getting off with each other as goal celebrations this week.

@riggi, I apologise if that came across aggresive or offensive, it's been quoted now so I can't delete it. What I will say is that I think your posts today and in the past show that perhaps it's not just schoolchildren who need to be targetted.

Apologies once again.

As we all know, It used to be rife. Its not so bad now but (in my experience) a lot depends on where you sit. If you sit anywhere near the front when an opposition player comes close there's a chance some idiot will call him all sorts of names and the world 'poof' will be in there somewhere.

Further up in the stands not so much, if at all, like you, when I'm sitting further away I can't remember hearing any. I'm not saying it's rampantly rife but I reckon it goes on a lot more than we might think.

Yeah I've sat in and around the same bunch of people for about a decade so maybe you're right.
