And yes Maddison was unbelievable today, absoluely class

He was a ten today in every sense.
Agree. Top performance.

A shout must also go out to Bentancur who played like prime Busquets today. Superb positioning, pressing, picking up second balls and calm, progressive and precise on the ball. Excellent.

Great performance today !!!! Bent, Dom and Maddison were amazing. I still think we need to work on our finishing , the number of chances we wasted today was a bit concerning. Brentford score and it could’ve been a very different result. If players take advantage of these goal scoring opportunities, we will be unstoppable

Great result, and 2 wins on the spin to build on. Like I was saying with Styopa and ajspurs earlier, it's time our senior players stepped up and they did that today and long may that continue, build more momentum against Qarabag to take to United. COYS In Ange And The Team We Trust

An uprupt and rude awakening at the start but it was one of the better performances this season. We seemed up for it after being stung by the bees. Very pleasing, a number of really good performances. Me and my nephew went home really happy.

You mean banned, just in time to disrupt us for the media darlings united?
Not confirmed yet correct?

The mooted 6-12 games seems ridiculous. Fine him and punish the player instead but don't punish the club...

Particularly when his teammate was the recipient.

We’ve scored twice don’t know how many goals per game we’re supposed to score. Just could do with a win and the confidence that goes with it.
That was a comment I made about Son seemingly having the lack of confidence to finish those chances, taking the extra touch and second guessing himself - same way he was under Conte

Did Son really mean to play it through the legs of the defender? Discuss...
I've often heard that strikers look to shoot through the defenders legs as it helps them get the angle on goal that they need and blindsides the keeper - maybe son was thinking the same thing with the pass.

Home from the game and very pleased. Their goal came so quick it didn't feel real and we responded well to it, even the fans seemed to shrug it off which might not have been the case ten minutes later.
From then on we were by far the better side and also far better than before this season. Our dominence was really meaningful today, the chances we were creating were real chances.
A couple of points, I thought we were releasing the ball and moving it forward far quicker than we have been and Solanke is showing us the benefit of a proper centre forward, he was holding the ball up and he was using his strength to power forward, he worked his nuts off today.
Maddison had his best game of the season and Kulusevski is becoming a vital component in the side, Christ almighty he leaves everything out there.
I thought our front line were looking drained towards the end but they'd earned the win today and it was no more than we deserved.
I'll also add I really enjoyed the game even at 2-1 when they could have pulled it back, it had the feel of a cup tie for a lot of the match.

Brilliant stuff. Things can change quickly. And for the better too, we shouldn't forget.

So much to like about that. 3 goals, Solanke off the mark, Johnson's really quality goal, senior players stepping up properly, two wins on the bounce, fighting back after a shock opener from brentford.

Lots to be happy with as we move towards a couple of interesting games in the week ahead.

Good stuff from Maddison today. I'm fairly critical of him and think he goes missing or is off the pace too often. But he was well on it today. Hopefully the start of a purple patch or better for him.

Cracking performance. We played some properly beautiful football today and are going to give someone a proper hiding soon.

Much improved atmosphere in the ground too.

And then the initial enthusiasm for the win online quickly turns to picking out negatives and finding fault in players again...

There's something very wrong with the Internet in 2024. It's not just a Spurs thing but we're very much swallowed up in it.

Either there's just a very vocal "pints completely empty" crowd taking over or the trolls won and we can't tell the difference anymore.....

Anyway, that's enough Internet for today!

Cracking three points and loads of positives. Onwards and upwards. COYS!
