A much needed improvement after recent games and whilst there’s undoubtedly foibles to analyse - Vic and our profligate nature in the final third mainly - there’s an abundance of positives to take and should be the overriding feeling from this match.

A big step in the right direction!

Excellent performance from the lads, much better. Should have won that about 5-1 with all the good quality chances we made though.

Nice, now we have midweek games, hopefully we can keep building on this small little bit of momentum now. Get some consistency. Crucial last 4 minutes of the Coventry game most probably.

Decent performance, 1st half especially. We were much quicker with the ball and the press was really good. Seemed Maddison was dropping deep to take the ball off the defense which I think helped with our speed. I don't recall Romero bringing it forward and slowing it down

Turns out….not for the first time……my thoughts were misplaced…..but we do like to make hard work of it…..some of our attacking thought processes really are wayward…

Great reaction after going down ridiculously early, and finally took some of the opportunities we created.

So pleased for Solanke and Johnson. And easily Maddison's best game of the season, even before topping it off with a goal.....COYS

Better today, Madders best game since his injury and Solanke played an unselfish role well. Still plenty to disappointed with, but we've got something to build on there!
I actually think that’s Maddison’s best game he has had for us today. He was absolutely on it.

Much better all round performance.
More showing and quick interchange .
Maddison and Bentancur upped their levels massively on recent performances.
Udogie getting back to his best too.

Only real concern was Son.

I also think we saw that Solanke is not just a target man and is pretty useful on the ball as well. (And not in a 'good for a big man" way)

Much better, maddison motm and nice to see him complete more than 60mins.
Son and Johnson both still lacking confidence infront of goal, but hopefully that will come.
2nd half we dropped the intensity a little which to be expected the way the 1st half went but clear example of taking your chances when your on top.
