As a young keeper who's just making his first national team squads, I guess he'd ride the bench for the remainder of the season in which he got sent to it, but not longer.

Could be a season of low-confidence goalkeeping if neither he nor the new guy establishes themselves as No. 1 quickly.
Could be. Either way - he improves quite markedly in some aspects or we need to look elsewhere. I'm happy with either outcome. The system we play demands it if we want actual success over the long-term IMO.

Annoyingly scrappy final 10 minutes where I wanted to see Moore Bergvall and Gray find their way into the game

Great win, finishing could be better but Johnson and Solanke probably needed their goals the most.

Better today, Madders best game since his injury and Solanke played an unselfish role well. Still plenty to disappointed with, but we've got something to build on there!

Great display from a majority of our players. We played like it mattered today. Still some adjustments needed in both ends of the pitch, but the fundamentals are slowly being incorporated. We move. Maddison MOTM with Bentancur a close second for me.

Good win and a more purposeful performance going forward which was nice to see.

Still look prone to errors at the back, particularly Romero and Vicario.
