Nope, that's not what Pleat said, he said Poch was happy with the squad and indicated he didn't need anything else, hopefully someone else who listened can pop up and agree. This was on the White and Jordan program which I listen to every day, they then followed up and touched on this days later by asking whether Levy should have insisted on improving the squad. This wont suit the narrative of people who have banged on at every occasion that Levy didn't back Poch when we needed the improvement.
And we are talking about the same Pochettino who hasn't said a bad word about Levy, also would have jumped at the chance to come back to work at Spurs.
Why are you believing what David Pleat said Poch said. Rather than reading the actual quotes from Poch ffs. It’s well documented!!

You didnt listen to the interview with the club insider David Pleat who was giving facts on Talksport 3 weeks ago then? But I dont believe it will make a difference to people who want to maintain the Levy out stance, they will just carry on insisting it was Levy who didnt back Pochettino just as they carry on spouting ridiculous statements such as Levy doesnt want to win anything, isnt a supporter and is more interested in lining his pocket. Levy hasnt been the raging success we all want but the barrage of non factual statements, ridiculous statements and insults is created to try to tip the fan base who have a different opinion toward those who believe their opinion is king.
And if Levy actually wanted to win anything then we wouldn’t have THE biggest wages to revenue ratio in the PL. Just think about that - despite being one of the richest clubs in the world in terms of turnover, Southampton even spend a bigger proportion of their revenue on player wages. Profit before ambition as always.

Suppose you heard David Pleat saying that Poch would have jumped at the chance to come back to us!! 😆😆😆

Watched the second half and it was like watching kids play. Forster kicking it to the opposition twice was like watching elementary school stuff. The way they carved us open every 3 minutes and missed sitters was just as laughable as the performance.

Sooner we get some players back fit the better
Agreed there about getting fit players back, however Ive already written off the season and cant get any passion or care what is happening both with Ange and match by match anymore. I just cant see how we're going to get into a reliable motion at all.

I don't think you're right on the timing there. I thought it was the two windows immediately before the CL final where we bought nobody. The summer after the CL final we spent fairly heavily. The problem was that we spent heavily on Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sessegnon and Clarke.
The narrative doesnt care about timeline, facts or club insiders statement, its 2+2=21

I just happened to come across Antonio Conte’s rant on X again there from February a couple of years ago. Considering he was our actual manager at the time, maybe you should have another look at what he said about our club never playing for important things under these owners. Or the players not wanting to play under stress. Every single word Conte said 2 years ago is still absolutely valid today. Give it a watch UdickAhead and you’ll soon realise that 2+2 actually equals 4.

You need to display more respect for other peoples opinion on here, until then I have no replies or comments to anything else you say. Have a great weekend.

Right, but your point was that Gray isn’t a RB. He is.
Fair point, but by Grays own admission, he says midfield is his natural position. “. I think my best position will be as a box-to-box midfielder but, as the game is changing, you have to be increasingly adaptable.”

If you’re the manager and you’ve got Dier and Dragusin in your squad, not one person believes you’d select Dier over Dragusin. Be serious.
I'm not so sure it's that clear cut. Dier did alright at Munich didn't he?

Excellent post apart from the unnecessary rebrand -

I really believed Levy would have stumped up for him - for at least a few months

Goes to show what a loud and supportive crowd can do to help a team raise their game.
