Posted this in the team thread but I'll repeat it here. Dortmund are without reus, piszchek, alcacer and weigl.

No weigl as well who was playing back up centre back, i wonder who they have left. WIth that team news i really hope we play with Son and llorente up top as i think our best bet will be to push their defence back and make them panic.

Really hard to call this. Both teams have some key injuries so it's hard to predict. We can't be too cocky just because of last season. When we played them before they were in the middle of a disastrous managerial appointment and playing terribly all round. This time we play them with a good manager who has got them playing well, so it'll be a test for sure. I'm going to go with 2-1 to Spurs. But that might be optimistic. We need Son to be on form and he looked pretty shattered against Leicester the other day.

It's amazing how much a team can change in a year. Monaco was a good example.

Exactly. They're a completely different prospect this time around.

I'm not saying we're going to get battered, they're still definitely beatable, but we underestimate them at our peril IMO

so i've seen some dortmund this season and they have been playing well but they have been heavily reliant on sancho, reus and alcacer.

Reus has 13 goals and 7 assists i think, Alcacer has about 13 goals and next is sancho with 8 . So with two of the major goal scorers and assist players out that is great news. The next bunch of players like witzel and gotze have 3 goals. Their defence as well is limited now with so many injuries so if anybody wanted a bit of positivity then this is it. Also in the second leg we should have Kane and Alli back or at least that is what is being said. Just got to put in the performance now as Reus and Alcacer will be back for the 2nd leg.

Not too shattered to sprint the length of the pitch in the ninetieth minute and score though.

Jan might dislike playing LB, but he's actually really bloody good at it. Especially if Llorente plays, we know Jan will put some quality in the box.

Apparently they have flu running through their camp. We should go at them hard early on. Test their energy levels.

Well no, obviously, but I'm just saying I'm not sure how much he's got left in the tank and as we'll be quite heavily reliant on him to both score and create vs Dortmund it's a factor IMO.

We don't play for 10 days after tonight. One last push is all that's needed.

Clean sheet would be massive tonight. As long as we can get a goal or two and keep a clean sheet, we will look good for the second leg but Reus will be back for that so it will be a very tough game. But then we should have Kane back.

When this draw was made I wasn't too hopeful of getting through, they were flying at the time but now I fancy us to get through this.

A win is all that matters tonight, 1-0, 2-0, 2-1 would suit us perfectly. We should have Kane and possibly even Dele back for the return leg, I'm confident with them we can get a couple of away goals at their place.
