Bentancur makes me feel very safe as I think he is class and the second half vs Brighton aside, I think, has been excellent, but we need a lot of workmate from Lucas and Madders.
The good thing is that Richy will run himself into the ground as always. I just hope he gives us a similar link up and presence to Big Dom.
Fancy Deki, Solanke and Biss to come on to save some blushes.

I would have thought we played a bit more of a first team, they were high up the list for pot 2, so can't see it being as easy as other games we have played so far in this.

Still don‘t understand, why we didn‘t sign a decent 2nd Goalkeeper. Maybe the biggest mistake we made last summer. So we need to score at least three goals to win the game.
Difficult position to sign in my belief. A goalie wants to sign to play unless they are very young or coming towards the end of their career. For example for us I would say that given 18-24 months Josh Keeley will be that man perhaps ?

I get that we are halfway there already because the new group stage is so overblown, but I’d still like to have seen a slightly stronger team as momentum is important. That said on paper this is still a strong side so hopefully they do the business anyway. I’d have picked a couple more first teamers and taken them off if we are comfortable rather than doing it the other way around but I understand Ange’s thinking

I am surprised we've rotated quite that much given they're a decent side but let's see how we go. They're all good players.

I think it's a good mix of 1st and 2nd team. It's not the scratch line-up we've seen in the past and the bench is strong. Excited to see what they can do.

(Also, yes, we need to sort out the #2 keeper)

If we were going to swap GKs I’d much rather Austin play than Forster, we’ve just given him a new contract so we must have faith in him, just not showing it.

I see Belic is starting for Alkmaar. I hope he’s turned his phone off, because I bet his cousin Roman rings up and asks him to go bowling with him.

Yeah. Really pleased for Lucas and looking forward to seeing him.
Agree and that he isn’t being asked to be the sole playmaker. Putting him next to Maddison should, hopefully, take some of the creative pressure off him and allow him more space to play his game.

Parrot nailed on to score I reckon. It’s always the way. Like the look of our team though, but we should all be prepared for the usual disjointed performance with so many changes made to the team.

Yes and his MO seems to be to come looking for the ball deeper and that I hope will dovetail nicely with the skipper.

We've got the entire "first team" on the bench minus Son so if things don't go well expect wholesale changes.
My 10 year old grandson has gone tonight with three of his friends so hoping even more for a good result for him😃
