Excited for this. Despite two wins I don't feel like we've put in a really dominating performance yet in the EL, so no better time than Thursday IMO.

2 or 3 more wins and we'll be in a very healthy position for top-8.

According to thousands of Opta simulations, 15 points is a near guarantee of top 8.

So just win our home games and we're almost certainly there.

Is there any benefit for where you finish in the top 8? Or is it a random draw once you enter the knockouts?

Think we win this one, don't really see us having too many problems in any of the games if we continue with a mixed team of starters and rotational players.

Top 8 go straight to the RO16 and places 9-24 need an extra playoff round, so there's the skipping two fixtures element of it.

Then inside the top 8, 1st and 2nd will be on opposite sides of the bracket so can't meet before the final, but practically that probably doesn't mean much.

Winning is a habit. Just gotta win every game, and look like we can't be beaten in this competition. Make everyone fear playing us. It's by far our best chance of a trophy this season. There's no City/Liverpool/Chelsea/Gooners to have to beat to win it.

Love a European night, these guys are no mugs, will be a harder match than our last 2, I wonder if he'll go similar strength or a bit stronger this time as we got away with it a bit last match

I'm so ready for this match. I think the way they play will play right into our hands.

Some of the questions at the presser went back to Holland's 1974 Total Football WC team. You can tell Ange eats that up and it truly inspires him. I'm guessing he is going to want a huge performance tomorrow night, and I strongly believe he's going to get it. Got a feeling we might see a special moment or two or a great goal or two, just a feeling

Don't @ me later but I also heard (I think on An Echo of Glory podcast) that they haven't taken a point off any British team in European competition before :bag:

Tottenham have never played AZ Alkmaar before and so I've never had cause to remark that their nickname is 'De Kaasboeren' or 'The Cheese Farmers'.

I mentioned this to Ange and said Edam well not play a weakened team.

He replied that we'd be Gouda nuff.

Now the full vision of the Cheese Room as a distraction will be achieved. Fool proof game plan
