problem is we can not get the ball in the first place, and Madders does not help with that, but agree can not do worse than Sarr right now, but we really lack a Rice / Partey player, we are geting owned in midfield

I agree and have made comments along those lines myself in previous games. Service has been poor. but when he has been in the ball or chasing he's been bad so far.

I'm a big fan of his though.

And I'd suggest we sell him in the summer. Not a bad player but a horrendous fit for this system.

Even when he’s in position he gets done so easily. He’s a pretty poor defender tbh

We're not playing to his strengths. He's not a player you put long balls too and he holds it up. He's typically looking to release the ball quickly rather than hold it. Kulusevski up top would be better unless we can get control of the ball.

Would take this. And have said this for ages. Right footed players playing LB just doesn’t work. We look so unbalanced.

And even Bergvall and Deki haven't kept the ball that well tonight. For a team that wants to be possession-based, I don't think we have near enough players who you can rely on to not give the ball away cheaply.

Bergvall, Gray, Spence have been good, not blaming them one bit

As i said i think they are doing ok but even they have been sloppy on the ball. Bergvall tried running out from defense twice and lost the ball and almost went in for a dangerous tackle.

Compare that to Arsenal who have been so much better in every department and across their entire team.

We've defended reasonably well but compared to Arsenal we look like we're moving in slow motion when we've got the ball, they win it back so easily. When we have got into good positions, they've looked vulnerable, but we had about 2 attacks in the whole half. I feel sorry for Kinsky as we keep passing it back to him, putting so much pressure on him to do something with the ball when the midfield should be taking more responsibility and working harder to get more control of the ball.

Too weak. We look for cheap fouls too often. Bissouma just isn’t the player I thought he was. Porro quite often gets dragged in to the middle leaving the left wing open. It’s all too obvious, and being targeted. I’m really frustrated that we keep giving them set piece chances, when everyone knows that’s their specialty this season. We need some brains in midfield, and we need a leader.
