They will have a real intensity about them tonight, so we need a strong/calm approach...but also need to match their intensity.

Do that and we can win.

Bizarre chat with an Arsenal fan last night saying they've got bigger injury worries than us because (and I still can't see his logic) "we're used to having the players out while they're having to adjust".

So supposedly it's to our advantage that we haven't had Romero / van de Ven / Udogie / Vicario / Davies for the whole of December and Bentancur / Werner don't count as they're squad players. Tried to tell him Bents is a starter when he's not on a 7-game suspension / knocked out cold on the pitch. We're using an 18yr old midfielder to cover in defence, 3rd choice LB, fourth different goalkeeper in a month and that our remaining players are running on fumes with no energy left in the tank but nope, they don't have Saka so they've got bigger issues o_O

Hard to call how this one will go. A NLD is always a bit of an anomaly in terms of form, but given that both sides have injuries, both played arduous FA cup ties, plus sketchy form anyway I find it hard to call.

A score draw wouldn't be a surprise.

I've seen so many fans of both teams saying 'form goes out of the window' - to be honest that isn't true for this derby. Generally the better team in better form wins. They've not won in the last 3 & we're in a pretty weird run of form, so I think it'll be a draw.

My worry is how easy we are to score against. Looking at their side they aren't that well set up to exploit our high line, unless they play Sterling. But they can always nick one one from a set-piece.

I think our best bet is to look to get on the ball. I think if they let us dominate the ball and sit back, their fans will so quickly get on their case. We cannot concede first. If it is 0-0 at half-time they will be under a lot of pressure to attack us. Their fans won't let them play for a draw and that is where we may get some joy.

*I know i've said I think it's a draw - I do have a tiny suspicion we are going to absolutely batter them...

Set piece or go long to Martinelli.

I suspect we will have at least one sending off? Then we beat them of course…

Arteta actually stops a Spurs counter attack by bringing down one of our players and nothing is done about it.
I genuinely wouldn’t bet against that weirdo getting on the pitch at some point during the game. He’s done it already this season vs Inter and nearly did the same at their place vs us last season when Kulusevski was breaking up the wing.

Hojbjerg should have decked him years ago when he was out of his technical area during that series of London pre-season friendlies we had before the 2021 season. That would have put an end to his shite.

I'll not see this game tonight, when was the last time we won there, 2010? Cant see past a 3-1 loss unfortunately, ref will shaft us no doubt.

Would absolutely love us to shock everyone again though and throw up another City away tonking.

Can’t watch the game live tonight, so will be avoiding this place for spoilers, but I think we’ll spank the fuckers. Come on Ange and the boys!!
