If we actually pull off a win or draw against them on Wednesday I think their supporters will explode. They are in must win territory instead of can’t lose, arteta is getting pressure from the supporters for being stoke

Let's hope they also pick up another injury!

If hammers beat Fulham tonight we'll go into this game in 13th. Man u play Southampton at home on Thursday and a win for them would put them ahead of us if we don't win this game.

It's hard not to see us at least in 13th before the next round of fixtures.

Losing away to this lot is no disgrace and it's something that unfortunately we do most pretty much every season but fuck me being 14th on Thursday night would be truly depressing.

I think this is going to be a scrappy match. No idea how it will go but really hope we manage to get a result.

We’re about to come up against the lowest of low blocks that would make even Pulis's eyes water. Havertz is going to be literally taped to their goal like a Just Stop Oil protester, while some dickhead just boots it into space to wherever they think Martinelli is. It's going to be the cagiest, most conservative Arsenal performance in a generation. And Gabriel will nick it with a header from a corner. 1-0.

Anyway, I voted draw. Fuck them.

TBF, they rotated in 2010 as well, most of their best players were on the bench (Van Persie, Wilshere, Chesney, Walcott) – they had Chamakh up front
The early 2010s were mental for both teams given the mix of complete dross we both had playing for us as well as generational talent with virtually no in between. We went there with Modric, Van de Vaart and Bale in our side. Then had the utter goon squad of Hutton, Gallas, Kaboul and BAE as our back 4. No wonder that game finished 3-2 cause both teams had shocking defenders with some real quality further up the pitch.

Highlight of that game was their Fabregas and Chamakh covering their faces with their arms for the penalty before Van de Vaart even took it. Absolutely mental that top level players would be that soft and worried about getting hit in the face by a football.

Anyway - I think the crowd could decide the game. If they’re on Arteta and the players’ backs then we can get at them but if they’re bang up for it their weirdos of players will feed on that and be getting at us.

My one guarantee is that Odegaard will do that thing waving his arms to get the crowd up when they win a throw in or something meaningless at least once and I’ll need all my mental fortitude to not put my foot through the TV.

They are proper down on the team and arteta right now more than it's ever been

Werner is injured now as well.

Not that anyone particularly rates him - but another option down.

We really do seem to pick up an injury or suspension every game currently.

That's unfortunate but thankfully we can bring Moore on from the bench and Son is still fit so it's not a total disaster
