My god, we really do need some decent quality on the wing, either wing but ideally both.
We'll finally get it about 18 months after Ange has left, and so have VDV, Romero and Kulu most likely.

A bit like how we now finally have a back 5 Conte could have worked with. Obviously not while Conte was at the club. That would be a preposterous way to run a club.

I hate losing to wine and cheese type fans. Given the injuries, it isn't a surprise to have lost but we were outclassed all over the pitch. That's what makes it so frustrating.

While i think we are 3-4 players away from competing, it is only 3-4 if one of those is a leader on the pitch. Someone sold out on the mission and doesn't give a shit about player's sensitivities at this point. . Sonny, Madders and Romero are not the answer. Too nice, too inconsistent and too quiet. While it is easy to question some of Ange's tactical decisions, there are too many people comfortable playing as a second fiddle.

To be fair, for the last 15 minutes I was thinking that the game had 2 all written all over it. This was a bridge too far in the end but maybe we're gravitating slowly towards being able to win at Anfield. Keep the faith guys, it can all turn quickly.

Let's talk injuries now, then. With Kinsky and Spence performing well we were arguably only missing our two centre backs in terms of a best first eleven being available. That's massive I grant you and I understand some players have been overplayed. But massive enough for us to be that dysfunctional?

We aren’t winning the league this year but neither are Arsenal and I couldn’t watch that boring s*** every week so I’m happy to stick with Ange chaos. At least we might fluke a cup or two.

He had reggy/spence/gray/bergvall/ sitting on the bench picking up minimal minutes

Dragon dropped for VDV/Romero to come straight back in

Lankshear not used to even give solanke some rest in games towards the end
All that list you've named have played.
Dragusin rested after playing all game every game up to when Romero and VDV came straight back in, bringing them in was rotating and when Romero and VDV came straight back in we strolled into a 2-0 lead over a rampant Chelsea side only to lose it again when they went off again.
Lankshear was injured for some of that time too.
I therefore refute your argument.

I hope your not including club signing Spence in that 5?

Conte wouldn't have wanted VDV at all, he had his preferences and didn't want anyone else.

Till he was thrown in at CB gray had played about 10 minutes in the league, berg not much more, Spence I don't believe played at all till a few weeks ago and I thought Reggie was dead.

was lankshear injured since the start of the season?

If there is one thing that we have got out of the season, watching them week in and week out, is that we have learnt so much about the character of the players and who we need to ditch going forward, or we will always under achieve.
I think we all know who they are.
There is hope though - some very good young players are starting to shine.

Nope. No depth even, just 5 starting players capable of playing 3 at the back with two decent-good wingbacks.

I skipped past the prospect of having decent depth wanted by the coach. This is THFC after all.

Gray had played right and left back in matches and nobody not even you was calling for him to play more league minutes in case we need him to play CB, nobody ever imagined he would play CB not even you.

Reminds me of the old saying "too good to go down".

Laugh at me all you want, aside from our regular starting centre backs, who was missing from Ange's usual starting eleven?

Levy should be worried.
At least our goal difference should be worth an extra point !
