I was listening on the radio so my experience was filtered through pundits, but it sounded like Lucas really put a shift in today, seemed to say his name every third touch.

He made 10 tackles today, which is more than any other tottenham player has done in any PL game for the past 4 season.

Hey wait, I need to close this off with a word like that opta guy.... ermm...

Also, our draw against Bournemouth was clearly a clever tactical ploy to give them confidence to beat Leicester.

I'm not saying it is back on. But, Leicester lose this we would be 7 points behind, essentially 8. Meaning they need 2 points to guarantee finishing ahead of us. Their next games are Sheffield utd, Us and Man utd. It is possible if they fail to win at Sheffield. It's a shame that there is too much in front of us to make this long shot only a small part of a series of results that have to go our way!

our attack was much better but lacked the final killer ball. A bit of selfishness cost us more goals tbh. That said im not going to get excited as allowing a midfielder drive towards our defence without being closed down happened too many times. Arsenal can't defend and the difference between arsenal and Bournemouth is that Bournemouth sat back with a deep block whereas arsenal attacked and left spaces behind them.

Its always been a problem for us but until we learn how to unlock defences against teams that sit back we're always going to be the 'nearly team' or 'legends'

That came in under Poch didn't it?
I wasn’t blaming anyone, just railing against a world that’s lost sight of quality, talent, fun even. It’s all about fucking results now.

And by the way, as far as performance goes, I guarantee that no one, not a single fucking person on here, would be talking about a good performance if we’d shipped one in the last minute. I’m very glad we beat the bastards, but I still know a piss poor performance when I see one.

Still, nearly done for another season, maybe the next one will be better...

I only listened to it on the radio, but two BBC commentators didn't make me think we played well. It sounds like a match between two mid-table teams which we just happened to win. Lovely result but on another day it could have easily gone the other way. This isn't our breakthrough moment folks, or even much of an improvement yet. We are still miles, miles away from the Liverpools and Man Cities. I was really hoping we'd be seeing more positive signs by now. I want Lo Celso to be running games, Kane and Son to be back to their best, Winks to be out metronome, Lucas our spark, Sissoko our midfield dynamo (ok, too far) but it just ain't happening like that.

Yeah true but it’s nice to beat the south London wanderers

I think Arsenal we lucky that the score line wasn’t bigger today. As soon as Bergwijn came on, Kane made a break down the left and all he had to do was square it to Bergwijn and it was a definite goal. Instead he shot from a tighter angle and the keeper made a good save to be fair. There were a few more moments where a bit more composure would have seen us score as well.

obviously will take that! lets be honest second half we were poor. Thought first half we actually looked reasonable good. Thought Toby had excellent game

No, second half we were playing our 3rd game in 6 days and we were knackered, against a team which had just had four days of rest since their last game and plays a style totally based on possession of the ball. And despite that we still limited them to a single decent chance all half and could've easily scored three ourselves.

Grown men.

DT is 41 fucking years old. Sitting there in his personal range of "BEHAVE" baseball caps dressing like the whitest roadman of all time, screaming and crying on the internet about a football team.

41 years old.

This aged well :)

But I agree it's not a long term solution....

In my defense, it wasn't a Sissoko Winks pidfield pivot and Lucas played on the left for the first time ?

In hindsight think it is probs manageable for these sort of games against top 6 sides where Jose clearly just wants us organised. It's against the smaller teams where having those kind of players is hurting us more, as others have said.

Disagree. I guarantee I would be talking about how that was a better performance even if we had shipped one late on.
If you cant see the difference between that performance and previous matches then I dobt know what you are looking at.
Whether we'll kick on from here is another matter entirely.

He's a dreadful defender. It's funny cause he'll have a couple of games where he doesn't do something silly and Arsenal fans will think he's solid but then....

He's definitely a top championship level player but I'm just wondering how some of the top clubs in Europe have had him and not only that, they've probably paid him an average of 80k a week.

If I fuck up a website job that many times I'd be on benefits

To put that into perspective, the other 21 players on the pitch made 10 tackles between them
