Never fancied red cars anyway. Probably because I've always been a 55 year old accountant trapped in a younger man's body - pretty much since birth - but black, silver or, if feeling frisky, maybe blue.

No thanks to red.

Not sure how it is in England, but red cars here are watched more closely by cops for tickets. So buying a red car is pretty fucking stupid to me.

That's interesting. Didn't know that. Is that because red draws the human eye's attention more easily I wonder? If so, it's likely a trend in all countries.

Another reason not to buy a red car anyway.

Of course, red is a lucky colour in China so maybe you get let off speeding tickets there in a red car?

my understanding of this is that traffic cops play car snooker. first you have to pull a red car and then a coloured car to represent the colours on a snooker table. hence why red cars get pulled more.

or it could be total bollocks. but i like the snooker idea.

Never allowed the old man to buy a red car either. Helped my daughter buy her latest car and she already knew the rules.

Got to drum it in early.

the car snooker thing is true , a traffic copper told me to avoid buying a red car . points are scored by the colour as in snooker and winner takes the pot at the end of the month .

forgive me father I have sinned "TWICE". passed test pretty late, but 1st car was red. exchanged it a year later for a four junk heap to do mini cabbing which was blue. unfortunately it was never going to last forever, and when on it's last legs I was pretty skint till I won £700 on a win patent. a fellow Spurs fan was completely skint and sold me his motor so at least I could work, unfortunately red.

since then I have never allowed red, please forgive me for my sins
