My Missus just asked me if I would want spurs to survive, but the only way would be if Chelsea had come to our rescue, so basically without their handout we would have gone from exsistence.

My answer was I would rather us go and start again, I couldn't stomach even the thought of them having that over us in any cicumstance.

Opinions?

How on earth would this scenario come about?! What could they do that would save us from winding up? Why would we be in trouble?

Hhhhhmmmm. Funny question.

TBH, I dont think another team would save us, elliminating the competition, so to say.

It'll never happen we don't need their dirty money Without their 'sugar daddy' they'll revert to being the yo-yo outfit they used to be in the 80's.

But here's something for ya....

Back in 1910 Woolwich Arse were in a right spot. Dwindling crowds due to the relocation of the Torpedo factory from Woolwich to Glasgow, unable to attract decent players and heavily in debt after rebuilding the Manor Ground, the club went in to adminstration and was liquidated.

A 'new' Company was formed with Spurs purchasing one share around May 1910 which we subsequently sold by July of that year.

Maybe we should have bought another 599 and built a Travelodge instead.

Ironically, the man Woolwich were most indebted to and who pushed for the Club to be 'wound up' was a 'Gentleman's Outfitter' by the name of Mr (George) Leavey.

Has an 'A & E' been dropped sometime in the last 100 years .....?

Was he a forerunner of 'Mr Byrite' ..... ?

Who knows!
