If this is true and are deals we can get sorted, with the squad updates of Bale, Reguilon, Hojbjerg, Doherty and Hart this is possibly one of the best looking TW's we've had for a long time.

In theory, this is possibly the difference of instead fighting for a 5th to 8th finish we 'should' be really challenging for top 4 or better.

Looking forward to having a fully fit squad and getting the first choice XI on the pitch!

I would be well up for this as a work trip.

- Private jet to MIlan, make derogatory offer, get rejected
- Do a bit of shopping and get some nice food and drink, talk about how hard the Covid market is with Mr Hitchen
- Wake up hungover
- Re-board private jet down to Napoli, offer 20M under the asking price, get rejected
- Hire car, drive down the Amalfi Coast, taking in some spas to try and ease the transfer tension. Discuss how ridiculous this market is with Mr Hitchen. Agree that we'll go in for Milik gain once we sell Danny Rose for 40M. Have some drinks.
- Wake up hungover
- Drive back to Napoli and get the private jet back to Luton. Few Negronis on the plane
- Wake up hungover

I think you are right, although probably erring on the side of caution - i'd say that a) if these two deals are done then it would have to be the best transfer window in our PL history and b) We WILL be Top 4 and challenging for better. It's your last sentence that really hits the nail on the head for me, all about getting these players fit, in the right frame of mind and confident again (i.e thinking that we can win things.....imo the painful near misses under Poch took a heavy toll mentally).

I love that phrase... "thrash out a deal".

I imagine two blokes in suits, smacking a piece of paper on a desk, with canes.

"30 million!"
*crack*
"Are you 'avin a laugh? 50 million!"
*crack*
"Bollocks... 35 million!"
*crack*
*brandishes cane furiously*
"Why I'll thrash this deal out of you!"
*crack*

I’m imagining Hitchen sat outside a cafe with a small macchiato and a giant cake.
