Not great from a work point of view. Lots going on there. I think I could make it the first week of December, gives me time to get a new passport. Looks like no Spurs game that week for me though, Fulham on the Saturday but I will fly out that night. Fly back on the friday, just want to avoid Malaysian Airlines if possible, although I did fly on the A380 on the way back last time, very nice.

Ah, shame. But good news about comedy... actually, I'll let you be the judge of that.

Totally understand on MAS. Well worth looking into AirAsia Premium, which is often cheaper than MAS economy. *Insert tasteless remark about attractiveness of air hostess, too*

Not too worried about cost, I fly business and I don't pay!

Course, just an observation that AirAsia Premium (their equivalent of business) isn't as spacious, but arguably nicer to travel in and sometimes costs as much as MAS, if they have a deal on. You just have to travel from Stanstead - which may even be easier..?

Anyway, the hostess levels are far higher on AirAsia. Which I mention, not because I am a lecherous filthy bastard (I am that), but because it is much easier therefore to watch the safety announcements before the flight. And safety is my primary concern - and indeed should be everyone's concern - when it comes to international travel. You really shouldn't mess around during those safety announcements and the bright red colour of the AirAsia uniform is most attractive, making concentration easier for the essential, possibly even life-saving, advice and instruction from the highly trained expert team. It is a sound move that heightens personal wellbeing and could be the difference between life and death. Nothing is more important than our health and safety, after all.

Plus, their little dresses, and stockinged legs are well mint and the way their tight jackets pop their tits up is fucking ace.

It's been shite the past week. Lots of drizzle. Just down in Singapore at the moment and annoyingly it's lovely sunshine.

Still be very hot and humid, so shorts and t-shirt is the way forward. But bring a lightweight jacket or fold-up umbrella of some kind, or just be prepared for lots of lingering in doorways (even with a coat and umbrella, you wouldn't go out in the storms here). However, note that most pubs, shopping malls, in fact all indoor areas are absolutely bloody freezing due to the air-con. If you're intending to spend long periods of time indoors, some form of shirt/jumper and trousers/jeans is essential. Shouldnt be an issue at the tournament though.

Just realised I'm on holiday this weekend, but should be back around on Sunday arvo, albeit that I'm hoping to see Tiger Woods at the CIMB Classic down the road. Are you still in town on Monday? If so, let's grab a lunch or some post-work beers. Otherwise, I'll see what I can do on Sunday. Either way, enjoy the event and enjoy KL. :)
Sound Matt. If the weekend is too hectic, no worries. I'm flying out Tuesday night, so maybe Tuesday evening drinks would suit? If you have What's App, you can find me at +82 10 4442 1618. Talk to you soon.

Nice one. Let's aim for Monday night or Tuesday evening beers. You're in the city centre, right? I'll eschew my instinct to show you The Beach Club and suggest Malones at Suria KLCC (Petronas Towers). It's overlooking the fountain and lake. I'll be the incredibly tall, sweaty bastard - see Sexiest Male thread in Chat for photo inspiration. Plus I'll Whats App, assuming I can figure out how to work it... :)

Sorry, dude. Had a nightmare of a client meeting. Locked down with them until 7.30pm and then had to rush home to finish a presentation. :(

Are you around at all tomorrow/Wednesday? Guessing as it's now 2am you might have buggered off. Sorry for not catching up. Would have been very fun. If you are around tomorrow in city centre area let me know and I'll run out for a coffee or better still lunch. I'll check here tomorrow first thing just in case. If not, safe flight and hope you enjoyed KL.

Fraid not mr Bill Oddie... Air Asia stopped flying from stansted a few years ago, they moved to Gatwick - and then stopped flying to europe all together.

MAS aren't a bad airline, they are one of 5 that I tend to use, never had any qualms -although the service can be a bit slow (non existent) at times.

You're quite right, of course. Well, just about. They were still flying to Stansted until the end of last year, I thought (my old girl nearly flew last Xmas but didnt want to go to Stansted). London route stopped completely about the middle of this year. Although now Tony F has pulled out of his bizarre joint-role with MAS there is lots of talk of re-starting up the London route, at the very least. Doubt it'll happen soon though.

Totally agree on MAS.

there is also talk of Tony F and therefore Air Asia relocating from KL as its main base to Jakarta... I dont understand it myself but meh...i dont really care too much. I will never use their long haul service and i have no problems at all with their short haul. In fact its very good.

Matt,

Sorry we missed each other. Am back in Korea now, catching up on all the work I missed during my time there. So much for my bright idea to give all my classes take-home essay exams.

Anyway, the next AGGs are in KL again, so maybe this time next year ;)

A big thanks to all of you on this thread for your advice and pointers. Did end up at Beach Club actually, but just for a beer outside on the patio. But my word, those girls were very friendly!.

Nice one, Ray.

Are you coming to the Malaysia Spurs meet tonight? You have to be a member but I'm paying when I get there. Bringing the kids. We've been singing Ossie's Dream all week in readiness. :)

Sorry, can't make it. I'm in a band and we're playing tonight. Can you let me know details of how to join?

Cool. Yep, we tend to watch matches at Sid's Pub in Bangsar South, so turn up to any of them and there'll be a group. Get chatting. It's only RM100 to join and you get a gift pack. Sid's really look after us and it's a good atmosphere.

Hopefully see you at a match soon! And hope the gig goes well. Where do you play and what's the band called?
