God, £25m? Seriously?
Have they seriously had that turned down?
Is Kenny in charge of trying to get him....

Well, it looks as though Southampton fans might well be supporting us next season seeing as we're gonna have half their f***ing team!

Can we give the seven we bought in last season a pop first?

That said i would love for Levy to shaft Brenda and offer 30 for him.....:woot:

If he's yet to name his targets, how do they know we are we linked to six of their players? Contradiction if ever I saw one.

I must admit that it is fun to sit and fantasize about who I would like to sign for Spurs. I still play FM2007 to such an extent that divorce has been threatened a couple of times. However, abnormally for me, I am hoping we have a quiet summer. It is not Poch's job to worry about signings. He may well have favourite players from the Saints, but Baldini is in charge of getting players in.

I seriously doubt that Poch has no plans for the squad, but equally he will not have had enough time with players to really know what to make of the squad. The WC will have to get out of the way for that.

Also, we bought so many potential stars last year, it would be a crying shame if they were not given the chance to shine, if they want to stay..., for Spurs now that we have finally sorted out our coaching situation.

Only replace those who need to be replaced. Even Rose could come good, he played really well for Sunderland. Only let those who are unwilling to knuckle down depart and replace as needed. We have a large squad and I can see us losing a few names without it affecting an effective first team.

i dont remember people shouting the odds about lallana before poch went to saints
there were a few mentions about him in adkins time;if as i believe he is 26 years of age why would we be thinking about a bidding war that the media would have us believe is £25million plus ;liverpool have a good record for overvalueing a player ala carrol
let them have him i'm sure poch has plans for players that we may never even have heard of and not so pricey
i know its not my money but i feel cheated when we over pay for a player

I don't agree that Lallana is overpriced at 25mill. 26 years old, in England World Cup squad and in PFA team of the season. What more do you want? He even sounds foreign.
The point is that he plays in a position which is our lowest priority to strengthen, apart from keeper if Lloris stays. On last season's performances full back, central defender, striker, winger are all higher priorities.
If we had a free pick of Saints players Lovren every time for me.
But as someone who saw Southampton a fair bit last season (my son in law is a season ticket holder) I think their game was more about the tactical formation and hunger of the players than individual ability. If our current squad buy into Pochettino's methods then we might not need as many changes as we think.

If Poch has not yet identified his targets, how can we be linked with six Southampton players?

I agree with most of this except the Rose bit, his been error prone his season, as a LW or LM he just about scrapes it, as a LB? Not now, Not Ever.

With all these Southampton players being talked of in terms of lucrative moves I'm left wondering why they didn't win the league or at least come in the top four... The rest of the team must be really shit!

Grey Fox has said that we've asked Southampton to notify us if 4 of their players become available. No official bids yet.
