Can't wait till tuesday but is there a game day itinerary? Going straight from work - trying to figure out if worth leaving a touch early...

just noticed this thread. I was born in the states and moved to the UK when i was quite young. I'm just curious as to how american's come to support the mighty spurs (not that i don't think they should or anything) and how other american's perceive it. It's just that in the UK i know of literally no one who supports any team from the American sports (basketaball, baseball etc.) and like i said i'm just curious, cheers.;)

I wonder if i had stayed in america spurs' would still have crossed my path and i would still be supporting them, that's a pleasant concept...respect from the UK!:)

I'm not an ex-pat so I guess I can tell you my story of supporting Spurs.

Like most kids who played "soccer" during the explosion of the youth game during the late 90s/early 00s we knew nothing of the pro game. We just played the sport (usually pretty poorly). When I'd get home from school on occasion ESPN2 would have this "Champions League". I'd recognize the names like Liverpool and Manchester United and Barcelona but I knew nothing about the teams. Most Americans knowledge of the game was the United States national team. We knew nothing about the clubs in Europe.

Jump forward to 2007 and my cable company added Fox Soccer to the sports package allowing me to finally watch Premier League footy. I needed a club. I immediately ruled out the "big 4" not wanting to be a bandwagon supporter. I also used to play PC games in my clan with a couple of guys from England who fans of this "Tottenham". Started watching Spurs and fell in love.

Being from Minnesota I'm used to my local teams collapsing at the end, failing to win games they should, and just making you say *****************. Looking back Spurs just fit in.

Probably Moutinho's agent.

I'm here in South carolina (have been since most of SC was born --1986), used to be a spurs ticket holder and was fortunate to see the great side of the early 60's -- I was very, very young then :)
