I also look forward to joining up with the Fort Lauderdale group next season !

Does anyone listen to Sirius XM FC ? Listening to their shows you wish they would stick to putting out Talk Sport which shows how bad it is. I just listened to their Counter Attack show with John Harkes and Tony Meola. Meola was rambling on about how we bought 13 new players at the start of the season, that 13 new players was crazy and that AVB was sacked because we all expected the 13 new players to click immediately and he couldn't do that in 5 months.
Meola also said that Lamela should leave after his disastrous 30 m move and he had heard he was on his way to Italy. Really ? Did his inside knowledge reveal who was going to pay us back the 30 m or had nobody advised him Levy doesn't sell players at huge losses ? He also failed to mention that Lamela had been injured for half the season . Maybe he didn't know that either.
John Harkes who is supposed to know something about English football didn't correct Meola once. In fact he agreed with him.
Sirius XM FC should tell them to stick to talking about the MLS or employ people who actually get their facts right. Otherwise the station is as big a joke as the cretins it employs.
In the mornings Sirius put out the all knowing Spurs hater Neil Barnett who is sone kind of Chelsea match day announcer. Another one who talks crap . And Ray Hudson who is obsessed with Barcelona, commentates in La Liga but somehow is an expert on English football that he never watches. He also says Bale is a poor player and was a total waste of money for Real.
Adrian Durham all is forgiven !

Not sure if anyone on here is from San Diego, but we're starting up an Official San Diego Spurs Supporters Club. We've been working in an unofficial capacity for the past year and we decided that this is the time to make it legit!

If you live in San Diego or know anyone that lives there feel free to hit up our Facebook page and join up as a member. We typically meet at Shakespeare Pub & Grill for games.

Great news regarding the US tour matches. More exposure for Spurs in the US especially if they hype up the games as Spurs vs former boys Dempsey and Defoe!

Absolutely, I'm sure the media will be all over the Dempsey/Defoe connection. Spurs also have a player on loan at Chicago so there is a marketing edge there as well. I'm a bit gutted as I was to go to the Chicago match but had some unforseen finance complications pop up. Had to decide if I wanted to go to Chicago or keep that money that I saved and put it towards a trip to WHL. Figured I would just hold out for WHL as I'm sure Spurs will be back in the states in a couple years.

Forgot about Grant Ward! I wish I was able to make a game this year but I would need to take the whole family as they would want to see the game also.
Hopefully if the Miami City council stop arsing around and grant Beckham a stadium site down here then i'll get to see them in Miami.

Very excited for the trip, and great news about the matches being televised. These next 2 weeks are a "sports desert" of sorts. Football training camp hasn't started, the MLB All-Star game is going on (dog days starting afterwards), NBA is over, WC is over.

For people that want to watch sports, there is only 1 place to turn to. These matches (and MLS matches). COYS!

Itinerary for Chicago.
We at Chicago Spurs are thrilled to host Tottenham Hotspur supporters from as far away as Florida, Texas, California, and of course England for this match on July 26! Chicago is a very friendly city, but it’s geographically large and many of the places you’ll want to go—namely, Chicago Spurs’ pub The Atlantic, Toyota Park where the match will be played, and downtown Chicago—are a little spread out. So to help you work out your plans for the weekend, here’s our guide to what’s happening and how to get around:

Thursday July 24: Spurs Throw the First Pitch at Wrigley Field

7 p.m. — First Pitch at Wrigley Field, Chicago

Spurs just announced over the weekend that a Spurs player will be throwing out the first pitch at the Cubs vs. Padres game at Wrigley Field on July 24 at 7 p.m. Spurs are counting on us to show support for their players, so if you can make it to the game to cheer on Tottenham, please come out to the game! Plus Wrigley is a great, historic stadium and a fun evening. Typically whoever throws out the first pitch at Wrigley also sticks around to help sing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during the seventh inning stretch. Right now bleacher seats to that game are as cheap as $15 on Stubhub but typically bleachers go for somewhere in the $30-$40 range. Bleachers are also the easiest place for all the Spurs supporters to congregate since it’s open seating there. Tickets are also available on the Cubs website.

Friday July 25: Open Training and Legends Night

9 a.m. — Spurs Coaching Workshop, Bambrick Park, Lemont, IL

On Friday morning, Spurs are hosting a free “Football Roadshow” at Bambrick Park in Lemont. This event is intended for youth soccer players between the ages of 10 and 14, and adults who coach them. It’s an opporutunity to work with Spurs youth development coaches on the skills and philosophies they use to bring the best in young players. There’s a Coach the Coaches workshop with staff from the Spurs Player Development Program at 9 a.m. followed by a skills workshop at 10:30. If you’re interested in attending these events e-mail [email protected].

4:30 p.m. — Spurs Open Training, Toyota Park, Bridgeview, IL

Friday afternoon, Spurs are holding an free open training session to match ticket holders at Toyota Park beginning at 4:30 p.m. You can arrive as early as 1:30 to watch the Chicago Fire train first. Unfortunately, there is no Pub to Pitch bus for the open training, so you can either drive or take public transportation to Toyota Park. Expect driving traffic to be heavy on Friday afternoon.

8:00 p.m. — Spurs Legends Night, The Atlantic Bar, Chicago

Finally, as part of the Spurs summer tour, Chicago Spurs are hosting a Spurs Legends night with Ledley King and Steffen Freund at The Atlantic on Friday July 25 beginning at 8 p.m. There will be a Q&A with both Ledley and Steffen, after which we’re told they’ll stick around and meet fans. It’s a rare opportunity to get up close with these icons of Spurs history!

Entry is free, but space in The Atlantic is limited so we suggest you arrive early. If you are also planning on going to the open training, traffic on the highways and in the city will be bad on Friday evening until around 7 p.m. so please plan for extra travel time to The Atlantic. The Atlantic will feature an abbreviated menu of burgers, brats, or chicken pesto for $10, or fish and chips for $12, all served counter-style so we can make sure everyone who wants food gets fed quickly. Plus, of course, their full menu of draft and bottled beers and cider will be available.

Saturday July 26: Spurs supporters vs. Fire supporters, and SPURS vs. FIRE

4:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. — Pub to Pitch Buses Depart for Toyota Park, various locations, Chicago

If you haven’t already, we HIGHLY recommend you sign up for the Pub to Pitch buses that run to the game. In our experience, this is the easiest and most reliable way to get to Toyota Park. Tickets are $10 (DO NOT sign up for the additional Section 8 ticket—that’s for Chicago Fire supporters) and you can bring beer on the bus, but keep in mind that the seats will be full so there’s not any space for huge coolers or ice tubs. When you buy your ticket, you’ll need to choose which pub you’re leaving from so you can either leave from our Spurs pub The Atlantic, Fado which is closest to the hotels in River North, or any of the other three pubs listed on the schedule that might be more convenient for you. The Fire are adding buses as they fill up, so if the system doesn’t let you sign up on your first try, give it another go tomorrow to see if they’ve put in for another bus. Buses leave The Atlantic at 4:15 p.m. and will get you to Toyota Park between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m.

4:00 p.m. — Spurs Supporters vs. Fire Supporters, Toyota Park, Bridgeview, IL

There will be a supporters soccer match ahead of the main event pitting Spurs supporters versus Fire supporters in at the Fire training ground next to Toyota Park. We already have a full roster of players for the match. The game kicks off at 4 p.m., and if you can get to Toyota Park early to cheer on your fellow Spurs supporters we’d love for you to be there. (One early Pub-to-Pitch bus from The Atlantic will take people playing in the supporters’ match and a few spectators to the training field.)

7:00 p.m. — TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs. Chicago Fire, Toyota Park, Bridgeview, IL

If you want to tailgate before the match, park in the designated away fans tailgate area in red below. Toyota Park regulations prohibit having kegs, “large quantities” of alcohol, or commercially catered tailgates. But all your fellow Spurs supporters will be congregating there before the match, and it’s the closest parking area to where we’re sitting (in green).

If you have any further questions please contact us via this form—we read and respond to every e-mail! Looking forward to a great Spurs weekend! COYS
