Going up to San Antonio from Houston (Where I live) Tonite. Longshot but does anyone know of any bars/pubs that will show the Chelski game at 6.45am. Terrible the times we have to get up to watch the Spurs - Good excuse for a beer before midday though.

You think that's terrible? Game is at 4:45 a.m. on my time, and it's a twenty minute drive across town to watch it with the rest of the supporters! But after being there weekend we beat man u, I wouldn't miss tomorrow for the world

It was a great turnout, almost 50 people at 4.45am. Now that's support!!

i know this is the wrong place,

but i've been on the phone for 3 hours with HSBC US about making a wire transfer as their systems are shit. 1.5 hours on hold. 0.5 going through security five times.

The average american HSBC employee really is a dumb ass.

Here's to waking up at 7 tomorrow to watch this game, I feel sorry for guys out west
Yeah, I love the early kick-offs - as long as we win. Otherwise it messes up your whole day.

I'm on Eastern time, so it's 7.45 and perfect for getting up with the kids.

i was on 42 and 7th this morning and got called a c*** from across the street. i was wearing a spurs shirt, but it could have just been directed at me.
Must have been an arsenal fan on his way to that 1-1 shellacking at Southampton.

Anyone happen to be from Oklahoma?
Just going through this thread for the first time. I lived there a long time (not anymore though). If you ever happen to frequent this thread again, do you know many Spurs up there? I knew exactly two, and one I converted about 3-4 yrs ago and he brought along the other just after that. It was rare to see a footy shirt at all, and whenever I attempted to bring up football in conversation even those people tended to know f all.

Now I am in New Orleans, LA. Not heard of any Spurs here, but I have seen a couple at the airport!

I live in Tallahassee, FL and started following Spurs two seasons ago - I've since become a full on Yid, thank you very much :D

I just wish that the team would play a match within driving distance when it comes to the States - Atlanta, Orlando, somewhere in there...

There are no Spurs bars here. The only football-friendly bar is a place called Finnegan's Wake, an Irish Pub that doesn't really have a "team" - and most of my football-friendly friends are gooners, so...yeah :/

Question, are these mostly ex-pats or are there some American poseurs in the mix as well?

All of these are Americans. The only Brit ex-pat I know is a Liverpool fan. I love her to death, so I give her a pass :D
