Kraken are the new shirt sleeve sponsors. It was said the fee would dwarf the 10m we got from Cinch.
so far they haven’t told us. How much is it. Any ideas.

I'm not sure of the fee, but having a betting sponsor as our training ground kit and now a crypto exchange as our sleeve sponsor we are on murky ground.

Should we be part of promoting these types of things?

Crypto currency for all its popularity is still unregulated and has been (and still being) used to buy illegal stuff on the dark web.

Betting companies which (obviously) promote gambling as well is difficult to stomach.

I find it strange that a club that promotes the community and correct behavour gets involved with these companies. I know an argument (and a good one) could be used for Nike as well. I suppose my question is, where is the line?

If we had Benson and Hedges as our sleeve sponsor people would be up in arms about it.

Im a grumpy middle aged man but I find any sort of corporate charity/inclusive slogan/political stance nonsense .

They would sell their grandmother's if they thought it would make the shareholders happy and I include anyone from apple to Tottenham in that. It's now all just a new way of marketing.

Newcastle are owned by a bunch of murderers. Everything else pales in comparison.
Anyway, the question was….how much are we getting.

Some is, sure. Kraken is a regulated exchange in the U.S. and other countries. In the United Kingdom, Kraken operates locally as a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Registered Cryptoasset Firm (‘Payward Ltd.’, FRN 928768) under the Money Laundering Regulations.

They are currently in the process of getting pre-IPO funding, once they IPO they will be heavily regulated.

I mean we had one on the front of the main shirt for a fair while (Mansion).

Personally I think it's up to the FA or UEFA to regulate these things and the clubs can then follow suit.

Up until then it is what it is.

Bit of a sweeping statement there! 'kin ell
Ask Mrs Kashoggi about her husband. Their chairman is a member of the Saudi government . This was proven in a court case in the USA last year. US PGA V LIV Golf. The judge asked for certain docs from the Saudis. Claimed diplomatic immunity and refused to give those docs. Also stated that LIV Golf chairman is a member of their government. The same man is chairman of Newcastle..
Our government will have a lot to answer for.
Selling guns to the Saudis is far worse than being sponsored by bookies and crypto firms.

Things have definitely changed these past couple of years

Are we keeping up with wages though? I suspect that's the true barometer of competing for the best players.

Off the pitch were the best run club in the world and I don't think it's close
