A failure to sign cover for Harry Kane has left many at White Hart Lane disappointed, but with a top-four place theirs to lose and a title shot a possibility, the Argentinian deserves some faith

You never know. Kane might not get injured or tired and we might do something special.

We are playing excellent football, some of he best I have ever seen. Alli went off tonight Chadli came on, guess what, nothing changed. Vertonghen out, Wimmer in, guess what, no change. I get the feeling if Kane got injured Poch would change tactics and everything would be OK. My glass is definitely half full right now.;)

I hope so! However if he does get injured and we fail to score enough goals to win games, the Spurs board should hang their collective head in shame. Cause this is the best chance we've had to win anything in the last eight years! Its almost insane that we haven't got any proper backup for Kane.

When I watch us play I don't believe we are in that desperate need of buying anyone right now.

Our main striking targets were not backups for Kane anyway.

We score with many different players from many different positions. Personally an Austin would have been a good back up, No thanks Saihdo Berahino. Great team spirit didn't need to be thrown off balance.

In the Poch we trust. Like to think that if he really wanted someone he would have been backed. They were not available and so we move on. Onwards and Upwards, as always COYS.

So, should we trust a manager that has us with.....
The tightest defence in the league currently?
The second highest scorers in the league currently?
The best goal difference overall in the league?
Playing some bright and incisive football, with a talented team of young, hard working players...

Too bloody right. Top man that Pochettino. If he says he can work with what he has, then that's good enough for me. Though it'd be nice if the scouts got us a few new bodies lined up who we could actually sign.

Why should the spurs board be ashamed? It was poch's decision.

My main concern is the past record of Poch teams running out of steam. Maybe we won't, who knows, but I can see that Kane and Dier in particular may struggle in the run in. Fingers crossed.

He has a better squad this year than any previous. Hopefully it will be enough. Guess it depends how well we do in the cups.

you're joking right? You think that Poch actually didn't want backup for Kane?! He wanted another striker in the Summer and Levy fucked it up with his stupid brinkmanship with the West Brom chairman. Poch is just towing the company line. He'll be straight out there looking to sign someone next summer.

totally agree and the lack of cup games is why im starting to think Leicester might not slip up at all. Id be more confident for the league if we werent in 2 cup competitions but then again, it would be nice to have something to show for whats looking like a breakthrough season for this young squad.

You did read the article right? Where levy offered Poch Austin and a couple of other players but poch preferred to stick with the squad?

What stupid brinkmanship? We have a maximum budget and levy tried to get berahino within that budget. Pearce didn't want to sell just as he didn't to Newcastle. We bought Njie and Son who are similar players.

I remember 87. Hopefully this time we get something to show for it.

If its true that he didnt want Charlie Austin, I wonder why? I would have thougt he would have been a great addition for us, and I thought he went to Saints very cheaply.

He said in the summer that he wants versatile players that can play in more than one position.
