Saha and Nelson

Instead of paying for Suarez!

Losing 2 1 at home to norwich which cost us champs league in 2012. Cost arry his job. We were garbage and showed he couldnt take that sideany further. That side should have won something

Pompey in the fa semi. Bottled it.

Not getting rid of poch sooner.

Losing 5 1 to newcastle on the last day

Firing Mauricio Pochettino and replacing him with a manager who is so out of the times it is not even funny has to be up there with the worst.

Signing nearly everyone in this list?

Obviously a couple in there pre 2010 but seeing as we’re looking back at cock-ups...

These are our RECORD signings.

Has to be this

Sacking Pochettino and replacing him with Mourinho starting to look a major cock up also

not backing Pochettino, and then paying more a season for a manager that hasn't really made that much difference other than not looking like being dragged into a relegation fight now

I just came here to post similar, this could prove to be a massive cock up or we could get a miracle and he turns this season round

Not paying up 25 mill for Jack Grealish when a deal was there and he wanted to come, simply because Levy thought he could save a few million due to Villa's financial difficulties. 25 mill was more than reasonable, he was a player Poch wanted, and it would have been done early in the window. He would have fit very well and perhaps allowed us to move Eriksen on sooner. Instead Levy dicked around and ruined an opportunity to get a good young player at a really reasonable rate. For me, this deal sums up all of our transfer issues.

Was he? I recall a general sense (on here at least) that he was just another opportunity for Levy to do a deal. The midfielders Pochettino definitely wanted that summer were de Jong (turned us down) and Ndombélé (unavailable at the time), iirc.

That final, honestly i haven’t even watched a minute of it back...just getting to the final should be something to look back on with pride and had we given it our all i think i would be able to stomach it... but the way we went out with a whimper i honestly almost wish we hadn't got there as the whole thing is ruined for me.

I have no idea why any Tottenham fan would want to watch it back. It summed up pretty much everything I’ve known since I followed the club! Luckily we have our history, we were once a swashbuckling club who excelled in cups and finals. We showed more against Blackburn in the league cup final loss than we did that night in Madrid?

Great run to the final but the actual final we were awful. I’m still cringing a little from before the Villa game when some fans were singing the Allez song!

Jesus Christ, do you have all day ? Well here is my long list of Spursy balls up moments or scenarios

. Losing our CL place on the last day to our most hated rivals Arsenal because we lost to another rival west ham after half the team got the shits ( you couldn’t make it up - Spursy

. losing our CL place because of probably the flukiest cl win in history by Chelsea, resulting in not only having to endure watching those bastards lift the CL,but have our cl spot snatched away - Spursy

. do all that amazing hardwork to reach the cl final, only to fuck it up in the 1st minute with a typical bottle job Spursy moment - Sissoko handball - only Spurs

. Pedro Mendes goal that went 50 yards over the line and ended up costing us a Europa league spot

.Arsenal winning the league at White hart Lane - only Spurs

. coming 3rd in a 2 horse race and once again, letting our rival Chelsea laugh in our face when they stopped us automatically winning the league

. 10 point lead over Arsenal -mind the gap ... they ended up above us - Spursy

. Selling our 2 most feared strikers in the same summer ( Berbatov and Keane ) and buying Frazier Campbell as a replacement- FFS!!!

. Daniel Levy

Trying to be far too clever with transfers. That list of record signings is ridiculous. We have wasted the Poch era by being arrogant dicks thinking we are better than we are.

Completely agree mate. Everyone says how proud they are of that CL run, but all I think of is disappointment. That amazing moment in Amsterdam basically meant fuck all in the grand scheme of things because at the end of the day, we totally blew it in the final.

This. Unearned hubris, and snubbing cup competitions for PL and CL runs... effectively trying to run before we could walk.

Some of these weren't in the decade just gone.
