It's probably for the best it doesn't talk about Poch too much tbh, the first few months of last season were dour stuff. All of his good bits happened in the first ~4 years of his tenure, and this series focussed solely on last season.

And it's baffling seeing people say that the clips with Levy in must've been edited to hell and back because he doesn't come across as an absolute arsehole but maybe just maybe, he's not an absolute arsehole? He's a (very successful) businessman who we've all moaned about at some point or other, but how many of us know anything about him personally? He seems affable In all the "outside work" videos I've ever seen him, we know he had/has a great friendship with Poch and we know he really really didn't want to have to sack him.

Some people are just determined to bash Levy at every opportunity no matter what. He's damned if he does damned if he doesn't for about 50% if our fan base for some reason.

I really enjoyed it, watched all 3 earlier. José obv comes off really well. As do Dele, Serge, and Jan.. I had the same reaction as José to the Sissoko moment, made me laugh!! Kane’s speeches are not great, but it’s not just about his words, it’s about the emotion and determination. Obv we are lacking that, hence the new signings.
Can’t wait to see more, Tanganga thrown in against Liverpool, the emergence of LoCelso, Lloris returning/the handbags with Son, the Sheffield loss, still lots to come!

Finished the 3 episodes...

Aurier talking about himself & his difficult childhood. In hindsight losing his brother to similar situation end of season, should make it very difficult for him to view his own content. Regardless he came across well. Also, nice to see him redeeming himself with that Olympiokos goal after the half time talk.

Things of note :
  1. Jose saying Sky pundit to fuck off. His dislike for United seems more than Chelsea
  2. Jose saying to Kane, Spurs have a better players than United. Probably when he was at United it was true. Now situation is changing slowly with their new additions.
  3. Jose shocked to hear Sissoko is the most influential player in squad. And kudos for Sacremento to know that quickly.
  4. Lo Celso on his headphone most times, seems very private person.
  5. Ndombele eating most times when he is not playing.
  6. Casual Dele: joking most times, even with the very important discussion on whether to dip in brush with paste in water or not.
  7. Lack of coverage on injured players like Lamela or Lloris
  8. Chelsea loss : If Jose sells Gazaniga can see why... probably due to that Chelsea game

Lol that was hilarious.

Sacramento: Sissoko is a very influential player in the changing room.
Jose: Fuck.

I mostly enjoyed the look on my missus' face when Dier started speaking Portuguese.

"Fucking hell all this time I thought he was English" she said with a mouth full of a cracker topped with boursin. She's going to smell nice tonight!

Just finished first episode. Jose is gonna kick some arse this forthcoming season - get the impression he’s not shy on whether he’s liked or not; get the team positively aggressive towards winning. Clever man

What episode do they reveal that Levy is actually a lizard? Keep expecting to see a tail.

I honestly think he will sort us out, if he get the last few pieces of his jigsaw for this season, then, I think he can smash it out the park.
I have really warmed to him having watched that!

Kept looking for A&C diddling Levys Secretary.....Not in the first 3 episodes....maybe Later?

Its a nice documentary with some interesting insights to our club. Although I feel not too emotionally attached to it or think of it a lot afterwards.
They really try everything to produce sth interesting and good out of a sh*t season. Marketing department will be proud.
Still looking forward to the next episodes, but not close as good and touching as Sunderlands train wreck on Netflix.
Havent expected that though.

Was interesting in the bit against Wolves where Doherty was one of the first opposition players mentioned by Jose, if not the first. Clearly had been watching him for a while.

Binged the first three episodes.

I'm grateful for them softening the Poche blow by covering it in little more than the preamble. It is essentially a Jose showcase, and a relatively vanilla one at that. Nothing amazingly revealing tbh. Some nice moments with Jan and Toby, and they structure the narratives with the players and their roles in the games well. I see nothing that's particularly banter worthy.

Watching the first 3 episodes made me realize how much I’m gonna miss Vertongen - fucking legend, I think he knew he’s time was up though

Also that Aurier goal against olimpiacos was sublime, wow I can watch that the whole day

Walker Pieter’s came across incredibly camp too

Right. I found his bit about is background etc. really interesting. Might not be the player for us, but seems like a good guy.
He seemed to have some reservations and confidence issues early on as well... like he knew that he wasn't performing up to scratch, and he was doubting himself. The narrative around him leading up to the goal against Olympiakas warmed me to him more.

I totally forgot that Eric Dier would obviously speak Portuguese.
