Exactly Lille May speak about a big project but they’ve just lost half their backroom staff. Plus who knows how instrumental Sacramento actually was in that success. And as said campos doesn’t need to be in the building. Cheeky text to his mate Xyz go get him. In theory transfers should be a lot easier with Mourinho. His contact list is ridiculous, I feel Pochettino wasn’t big on wheeling and dealing he hasn’t even got an agent himself.
love him but don’t think Pochettino would have even heard of half the players fans talk about, in the same way Idont think he knows the difference between a jpeg and a gif

Perhaps I am a bit too lily white but I would hope his integrity would. The one exception would be the player the wouldn't sign for Lille. Perhaps Daniel could develop a special relationship with Lille just like Madrid did with us.

I don't see why he can't identify players now, they don't need to be in the same room to be in dialogue, he could still be communicating with Mourinho over the next few months before he moves for example.

Don't see the big deal whether he moves now or Summer, hell still be doing the same job regardless.
Surely it will be in his contract that he can't be working for a competitor on the sly. Even if not he'd have to be a real scumbag to do that.

If course he can' t work for anyone else on the sly, doesn't mean he can't communicate to his friend on his personal phone when he's out of hours.

In my contract I was told that if I am found discussing what they call trade practices with the non work colleagues then its a sacking offence yet I have regular conversations with my friends and family all the time, there's no way you can prove it.

He doesn't need to be on the payroll to help us out (sounds like he is not even officially on Lille's). It won't be in a way that compromises Lille, just in a little WhatsApp group with Jose and our coaches and the like. Throwing us target / agent gossip, scouting recommendations, etc. Lille will be looking for the development phase of young players, we will likely be looking to leverage the next step / players ready for the 1st big European move that Lille can't afford.

Wasn’t this mentioned that he’s not directly employed by Lille, his analytical business is. One and the same in practice, but theoretically he can work with who he wants on his own time.
What is equally poignant I think, is that our previous reluctance to deal with Jorge Mendes has also come to an end. I think that may also start and see some talent pushed our way.
Slightly different because Mendes I believe has a consultancy role at Wolves, but still, look at the gems he has pushed in their direction given then manager is one of his clients also, and their relative successes are linked.
Likewise, surely Mourinho’s success at Spurs would be beneficial to Mendes.
Is Campos also on his books?

The club president's statement would suggest there is exclusivity or a personal contract but that is conjecture.

Obviously you can't ban him from talking to people he knows but if he's telling them to sign this and that player then surely that is working for them on the sly given that he's currently being paid to provide that service to Lille.

As you say, it's maybe hard to prove in practice, but like I said in my last post it's a pretty shady thing to do even if you think you can get away with it.

Agreed. He could very well be sneaking the same information to Chelsea or whatever club at the same time...

What do you think working for someone else on the sly means, taping a Lille badge over a Tottenham one at their training ground?

Football is a shady business

Players aren't meant to negotiate personal terms with other teams before clubs agree on a valuation, they still do it.
Tottenham started negotiating with Jose a month before before Poch was sacked, what do you think the conversation would have been about?

It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that these things happen, morals go out the window when it comes to money and business.

Anyway I don't want to paint the dude in a bad light but all I'm saying is that these things aren't as complicated as you're making out, it genuinely wouldn't surprise me if they're in some sort of communication with each other.

The are 3 levels. Jose was unemployed. Nothing is wrong with that. Madrid talked to Bale and Modric which affected their performance but didn't use that productivity capacity for their own good yet. There is something wrong with that but is every day reality for football. Giving your best leads to a prospective employer who is a competitor for hiring talent and may be a direct competitor in certain competitions is a whole level above that.

I'm not saying it's difficult, I'm just saying I would've thought he'd have more ethics than that and I think the way you're just saying he should leak stuff to us in advance like it's no big deal is oversimplifying it. Yes he could probably get away with it but I doubt he'd be up for something so shady when there's such limited benefit to him in doing it.

Hang on, you're twisting my narrative a bit here.

My post was in response of someone saying that we need to hire him now with a view to securing targets for the summer, all I'm saying is that we don't need to as he could easily provide names from his scouting network now, I wouldn't even be surprised if him and Mourinho kept in contact when he was out of work and speak regularly about this.

I'm not sure how it wouldn't benefit either when he's literally assisting his future employers thus making his transition easier.

Finally, years I've been waiting for this bastard to slip up, pretending I like this effing club and this stupid sport.

Now that I have bagged Shadydan, or El Asesino as he's known in agency circles, I can retire with my name cleared.
