Agree with an early post to have verts back in the middle not really impressed by naughton but against saints its a good call.

Most of the team picks itself, but for my money, if Defoe starts play Dempsey, but if we dedide to hand Ade his first start, perhaps go with Siggy.

Really hoping this is a game where everything just clicks. :)

We've gone from 1.82 to 2.12 in betfair. That's a bit of a jump. Might have to do with team news people have got there hands on.

Drifts happen, although is quite big. However, I feel even with the 'worst case' scenario team we feel we may put out; we are still far too strong for S'hampton.

Unless Dembele isn't fit, Bale is still unavailable etc and we go with old man in goal and little man upfront

Typical Spurs slip up type of match today. Also I am yet to see AVB's supposed tactical awareness, he seems to just stick with a system even if it is not working (Harry style). Hope I am proved wrong today but AVB will likely start with Defoe and Hundredstone/Liverpoor and we will struggle.

I so badly want to avoid breaking my vow of never giving out dumb ratings, but when people start giving out horrible nicknames to our own players they really test my patience.

Both Huddlestone and Livermore would've walked into any our our line-ups between 1995 and 2004 and been our most important central midfielders. Think about that before you slag them off.

dembele and bale have to play.. confident on bale and that should be enough to see them off but dembele im worried about.. just have bad feeling it cud be while yet before we see him. hope im wrong.. what last couple of games have shown is now he is bloddy vital at least till we get to window...... i hope someone at spurs is doing their job properly and have players to come in as and from first league match in jan..

As much as I don't want Defoe to start, he might be more suited to playing in this sort of game

Saints fans i know want adebayor to start, they are fearing Defoe as there defence is static paceless and unable to deal with balls being threaded through.

What are the odds on that though... that would just be silly.
