Amazing really.. in years gone by I think this would never have been overturned. Lately, with the huge scrutiny refereeing has come under as a result of the current shambolic implementation of VAR, they are having to answer to critics for the first time ever. I think that is at least a positive side effect of all the total shite we have witnessed from VAR so far.

Years ago Son wouldn't have been sent off.

You know there would have been kids watching. They're never going to show incidents like that to appease the rubber neckers.

So? A kid won't get scarred for life for something like this. If anything, it might teach them to be more careful when playing sports.

That's the major factor in refereeing decisions for me.....

They all too often rule on emotion. Just ref the fucking game on the rules. This ref should be up on a charge himself.
