Hardly think I went keyboard warrior and I'm not really sure what there was to not buy in the post.

I wasn't signalling you out specifically, but at some time or another, we all think we know better than the manager. "Why can't he see what is plain to everyone in the stadium" etc. What we don't see, is everything else that goes on after the players leave the pitch. We don't see the training sessions. We don't know the players personally and their attitudes. He does.
