Food companies are chasing after Korean football player Son Heung-min to feature him in their TV commercials and ads, according to industry officials, Wednesday. Son's feats with Tottenham Hotspur and the national team have turned him into a global megastar.

He's one of the few players I have heard fans from pretty much every other club speak positively about. Genuinely nice guy, plays with a smile on his face. (y)

The closest you'll get is West Ham fans who rather than slag him off, don't say anything bad. That's basically a compliment.
Heard plenty of Arsenal idiots calling him a diver and a cheat though. The irony missed on them, what with their rich history of cheating refs. Ljungberg,Viera, Henry etc - the Arsenal FC Olympic diving champions.

In Korea, he's a mega star. I was there in February and saw him advertising at least 10 different products. They have tvs on the metro system, at one point I saw 3 consecutive ads staring Sonny. I can see how his appeal can easily translate worldwide. Clean cut, lovable, super player and Asian. He's an advertising dream.
