He's a good player, who can cover numerous positions. Saying that I wouldn't be adverse to him leaving for the right money

I really hope we don't sell Dier who is a quality player able to play in a number of positions and plays with intensity. Worried about his injuries of late but then again he played so much football in previous years that maybe a 'rest' will do him good

I agree with Solskjaer, yes he has got a mistake in him and a wayward pass or two but he enables the seamless switch from 4 to 5 at the back that was used a lot 17/18 season and can play multiple positions.

It's a squad game and he's a talented squad player

Weren't his two main absences this season due to illness rather than injury? Appendicitis and Tonsillitis i thought.

I am not one of his greatest fans, but I will concede that he does enhance our squad. A quality squad will be needed for the next campaign. I am not fussed either way

A decent squad/utility player, so would be useful to keep.

That said I think he's pretty ordinary. Aside from his versatility, he is too slow and cumbersome to play midfield in my opinion.

I like Dier as a no.6, however, should the right money come in, then its worth considering.

The emergence of Skipp as a technically adept player capable of receiving on the half-turn, passing under pressure & playing penetrative passing. Its just my opinion, but it gives me comfort that we wouldn't be staring into the abyss should Dier leave.

Dier has stagnated a bit. If that's due to injury or less playing time I'm not sure. As said numerous times before, Dier's strength is his versatility. Therefore he's also a great asset but he will most likely never be an elite DM, neither an elite CB.

I wonder what kind of fee he'd fetch. He's basically a squad player so I can see the appeal to sell if we'd get a good offer.

Dier needs to stay. He is precisely the Type of squad player we need to have.

I think he could well slip down the pecking order if some of our dealings come to fruition and I think that could be a problem. Poch obviously loves him though (for his attitude mostly I'd assume) and IMO it would be a mistake to judge him too harshly on last season when virtually everybody under-performed. Not sure he sees himself as a squad player in all honesty.
