Solanke has largely led the line on his own due to the club's fitness issues but has now suffered a knee problem himself.

He will miss the visit to Goodison Park with concerns a lengthy spell on the sidelines awaits.

It means that Richarlison is likely to be drafted in to the starting XI in his place.

Not really surprising Solanke has picked up an injury considering he has been run in to the ground with us not having any suitable backup players. Kulu also looks like he is struggling with the sheer number of games he is being asked to play.

Our squad really is as weak as piss.

Just as well that Levy has made the most of this transfer window and got a couple of players through the door to supplement our injury ravaged squad and actually back his manager.

Fail to prepare and all that!!

This is laughable and ultimately an indictment on Levy and the board for not having at least one or two outfield player deals lined up early in the window as the issue has been clear for months now.

That being said, I also want to come at this from a slightly different angle and take us back to the FA cup at Tamworth a week ago. The lack of desire and intent shown by the likes of Werner and Johnson from the off meant the game turned into a hard slog on a hard artificial pitch. Coincidentally, both are also now struggling with injuries. The point is we had to bring on Solanke on 68 minutes that then extended into extra time in a game where he should have been having a day off ahead of a tough away NLD. We really needed our starting players especially in the forward line to take the game by the scruff of the neck and end it as a contest right in the first half. Now I am not trying to deflect away from Levy and the board but just highlighting the potential far reaching consequences of a game like the one last week where senior pros do not take responsibility. Yes we got through in the end and whilst I cannot say it is the cause of the Solanke injury, I can certainly say it would not have helped in the management of the workload on an already over-stretched player.

Irony is that the deals the club is working on and not been able to complete due to ongoing negotiations will be even more difficult as the deal terms are likely even more unfavourable now the other side know we are well and truly in the shit. Fingers crossed Kulu, Son etc can hold up for the next week or so. Let's see what Levy and the board can come up with as they will be under unimaginable pressure at the next home game if the team loses today.

Bang on about the Tamworth game. Those players should’ve comfortably beat a mid-table NL team and it was disgraceful they couldn’t. This meant players in need of a rest had to play an hour.
This demonstrates how mentally weak a lot of the squad are and why we’re still miles off where we need to be. A club serious about being successful needs (minimum) 18 talented and mentally strong players who can afford the manager rotation.

Just seen Manor Solomon scored for Leeds. I assume the loan deal means we can't get him back yet?

Ange had options.

He could have used, Reguilon on the left, Davies to CB and DJ on the right and rested Gray or Porro (Porro who has played more minutes than any other player this season)

He could have started Richarlison up front, and rested Son.

He could have given a debut to Yang

He could have started Moore

Lankshear was an option, not ideal but no worse on his current form than Son. He could have started him.

Instead he changed the system, something he said he would never do. Remember were were playing with nine men at Chelsea and he wouldn't chnage the system!

One down in thirteen minutes, two by minute thirty and still no change to an obviously failing system.

Not great options I know, but options none the less, and possibly an opportunity to give some younger legs a chance against a team who couldn't hit an elephants arse with a banjo.

We were terrible, the score could have been worse if not for Kinsky and another day where the ineptitude and arrogance of the manager was their for all to see.

Fail to win next Sunday and Levy will be left with no choice. Leicester have lost seven on the bounce scoring just three goals, and injuries or not a loss is just not acceptable.
