Watched this, expecting a bit of a Sol love in, to be honest. Sky have done a good job, every time he or Sky Andrews make a claim, like “Sol never once said he was staying” it’s followed with an interview of him saying exactly that. And the last scene, him saying it’s time to let it go and let him live his life… man, this guy was an invincible, he won loads and should be dining on it, instead we live in his head rent free and he blames us for all the ills of the world… I swear at one point there’s even an inference that we are the reason he can’t get a job in football…

Got news for you, Sol, if you are so obsessed with us as a fanbase you have to google yourself and end up in here, it’s 24 years ago. New generations of fans don’t even know who you were, never mind care that you buggered off on a free. The world has moved on, we’ve had a lot more worthy heroes and will have even more.
