Finally a big football transfer story to knock the Suarez to Spain one off the back pages.
Phew.....
Actually if one reads all the transfer talk out there Liverpool seem to be after just about everyone.
Spending the Suarez money I guess.

I still think Siggy should stay another season and have a crack at making Spurs's starting 11. Apart from Eriksen I can't see anyone really ahead of him as a attacking central midfielder.

Typical Spurs. All talk and no action. If we want Davies, just do it. I can just see Liverpool nipping in and grabbing him. We have not learnt our lesson since we told Charlie George that we would conclude the deal in the morning, by which time he was a Derby player.
Siggy has had his moments but has generally not been good enough. Sell.

Tom Carroll? Time for him to show what he can do in the Premiere League.

Holtby, chadhli and dembele also spring to mind!
Well, I had those guys in mind when I wrote my comment....Dembele? seems to be playing so poorly right now. Holtby? Maybe, but needs to learn a lot about reading a game and conserving energy? Chadhli? Just needs more games?
None of them are clearly better than Siggy and none of them have his shooting power....goals are really the bottom-line and Siggy is potentially dangerous from anywhere inside the centre-line.
I knew this was going to stimulate considerable comment....it's just I have a feeling that Siggy, of all of them has that potential to shine more.

Dembele, Paulino are box-to-box players, while Siggy is better at the top half of the field, a role that Hotby and Carroll could also fill. But Siggy has more fire-power and goal scoring instinct.

Granted sig is better at scoring and is classed as 'home ground' but he ain't very mobile and doesn't create assists like the others.
