I’d really like to know what percentage of fans think we should keep to Angie’s 4-3-3 ( with inverted wingbacks that often make it 2-5-3 and 2 wingers one Of who can’t beat his man or cross the ball and the other is made completely ineffective by being stuck out wide on the left .
So which is better
Vicario
Porro Romero VDV Udogie
Bentancur or Bissouma
‘Kulu Maddison
‘Johnson Solanke Son
( which often becomes ;
Vicario
‘Romero VDV
Bentancur or Bissouma
Kulu Porro Udogie Maddison
‘Johnson Solanke Son )

‘’OR ;

Vicario
Romero Draguisin VDV
‘Bentancur or Bissouma
Porro Kulu Maddison Udogie
‘Solanke Son

It's definitely an option given the squad we have. and I do like the idea of occasionally playing 2 up top.
But has the boss ever played this system ?

lol. State of this. Bet Ange is reading this and is like, “mate, what a fantastic idea, now find me a female journalist to berate for asking a fairly simple question”

No. Just tweak the 4-3-3 a bit and in Jan and next summer sign 2 top quality attacking players and we will be pretty transformed.

We've been building a squad for 4-3-3, zero point now switching to 3-5-2, if so we'd have wasted a ton of money on wingers who wouldn't fit the system, plus we don't have enough strikers or CB's to play 3-5-2. over a long season.

On the one had I say no. One of the reason's why the squad was so mismatched in the first place was because we switched from one system to another over a short space of time. Jose 4231, Conte 343 now Ange 433. Going back to a three man defence would then see us needing to clear out some more players that don't fit the new system.

Secondly there's the depth issues. I actually think the midfielders and front players could probably be configured in some way to work but we have one player that can play LWB in Udogie and three centre backs with Davies the fourth at a push.

On the other hand, I like the idea of a back three as the meta at the moment is building from deep with a 3 man back line. We don't really have the right player for anchoring as a single pivot in Ange's 433 but Sarr, Gray, Bissouma, Bentancur and Bergvall would all do great in a double pivot.

Still, the cons out weigh the pros at this time.

And this is what concerns me.
We've never signed top talent at the height of their powers though ? We got very lucky with Harry and Dele etc but perhaps the signings we have made we are hoping will go one to that level of greatness ?

Whatever the view, it isn't going to happen but it would occasionally be nice to see some in game flexibility to suit certain situations

The fact this is even being debated is fucking hilarious to me considering a large majority of this forum was crying about how playing 3 at the back is 'too defensive' and "tactically backward" under Conte

If Ange is sacked this fall our next manager Thomas Frank will play it against difficult opponents and have Turbo Werner, Son and Johnson to counter.

Mate, the grass is always greener...until you realise that the reason it's greener is because it's been thoroughly fertilised.

I know the term "fickle" gets thrown around too often but fans flip-flop from one ideal to the other so quickly nowadays, it's insane.

To be honest though, we can all be guilty of it. How many of us are wanting to throw some kids in tomorrow, while at the same time, wanting to take the cups seriously for once?

Football...it drives you mad!
