Look even Sherwood knows he is not getting the job.
"It's always about me keeping the seat warm for someone else. I am [doing that], but the seat is getting quite hot."

Sherwood reacts angrily to something every week... a typical morning in the office probably has him losing his shit when he get's his cuppa... "How many fucking times do I have to say it?! It's two spoons of sugar FFS! This just isn't my cup of tea!"

After the 3rd defeat to arsenal, ending our season in mid-March, I think Levy is entitled to have a good look round this summer to see who is available.

But if no-one wants to come who is proven, and it is looking more and more like that, then based on the team's overall results and performances, there is a case for letting Sherwood have another season. Sorry about that, but he is a genuine candidate.

Sensible comment.

Not all of those were his points ;)

No, but he has a significantly better points-per-game record than AVB, as well as a significantly better goals-scored record. He hasn't managed to get us up the table, but he has improved league results and goal-scoring, although some of this is simply the result of including Adebayor in the starting 11.

He has a point on the face of it, but if reports are to be believed, he didn't exactly have a back seat in AVBs sacking.

Man with bigger gob than Redknapp gets annoyed about people talking. Go figure.

I also do not forget him appearing on talksport (in 2012 no less) saying that our players weren't happy with AVB.

Karma's a bitch.

There have been so many anti-TS quotes on here and i agree with a minority of them but the fact is the damage was done before he took over and the board effectively wrote off the season when they appointed him because they probably knew they didn't hVe a more worthy replacement available when they - rightly - sacked AVB.

It indicates they have big plans for the summer in terms of a manager. Or at least they were buying time to find that worthy replacement.

But TS hasn't disgraced himself in terms of results and that's what matters - no matter what his team selections and tactics have been. He's a very VERY green manager at any level let alone at PL level.

But he will learn from this and has the makings of a good boss if he learns from this experience. Hopefully we will get a world-class manager from the board in the summer and Tim will move on and learn his new trade at another club. Which could be good for English football in the long run.

A board member described this season as a "transitional" one a couple of months ago. Hopefully it will be an "exploratory" one too. We will get a good sense of what our youngsters can do and decide where we need to strengthen not just for the first team but also for the broader squad in terms of the youngsters.

I just hope they have a good scouting strategy for the summer in terms of both.

The World Cup will play a big part in terms of signings as many players will be 'playing for future moves' in that tournament.

Another summer of frustrating transfer activity undoubtably beckons but you know what?

Things can only get better next season.

Surely?

Unless the board f@ck it up again.

He ain't going anywhere. Get used to it and vent your spleens now.

So, if he's still our manager come next season I'll donate £20 to the good people at SC. If he's gone then you can fork out to them. What do ya say? :sneaky:

We should all donate what we can to the good people of SC whether TS stays or not.
