Preseasons literally mean nothing, also doesn't do anything for a players development

Donley who has been fantastic all season has barely got a look in, him coming on against Sheffield Utd, would get clubs interested in a season long loan and not to mention see how he fits in with players a level above what he's used to

Preseason happens at the same time championship clubs are starting the season, they start earlier so he would already be out of shape when he goes there

I do agree with that but at the same time, I can't begrudge giving the like of PEH and Royal a final chance to say goodbye.
Whatever you think of them, they are senior pros and have served the club well.

The kids will have their chance soon.
