Shearer's the more likeable of the two as he didn't do the below

Wow Owen comes across as a right classless **** in that video,

He also oddly has Michael on his back rather than Owen? ?‍♂️

It’s all a shame really as I liked him as a player and he was a world class finisher and not all about his pace.

In fairness to Owen he needed to put this stuff out there in a book, simply because he’s such a boring personality vacuum that he wouldn’t be able to otherwise steal a living on our tv screens.

Let's not forget that whilst he just wanted to retire, he sent out a brochure begging for clubs to sign him.

I must remember to add 'Cool', 'First Class' and 'Good looking' to CVs in future.

What a prick.

I see a lot of anti Owen stuff which is justified but don't forget that Shearer was a dirty player at club level and used to get away with a lot of things like stamping on a players head and a lot of elbows. Any other player at the time would have probably been banned by the FA but not Shearer.

This. Shearer rode his reputation as a class act when he lost a yard or two of his pace and got away with playing like a proper thug for the last few years of his career. He played crafty and refs were too caught up in his hype to call him on it.

Owen just bores me to tears.

They both had their moment in the sun on the pitch, both had undeniable skills on their day, but both come across as pretty bitter about the whole experience now.

I would show you the field in which i grow all the fucks I give but, alas, the crop is barren.

Not sure if it was him being crafty or the refs and FA scared to punish him especially when there were tournaments coming up and they needed him to play for England

Even at Blackburn in his peak years dad would complain about Shearer being a dirty fucker who was always elbowing people and diving.

In short, they are both ****s.

He elbowed people pretty much every time he went for a header. Played much much cleaner for England though. Probably because the refs didn't let him get away with things because he is Alan Shearer. Owen on the other hand was a whinging little wuss that full over if the wind changed. both scored lots of goals but polar opposites as far as play style imo.

Tbh it's not surprising to be a bit bitter having played in the era just before money in football went mental. Most players from the top flight now will be set for multiple lifetimes even if average. They were pretty much at the top for ages and now have to spin boring platitudes every week to keep put of the overdraft.
