Tottenham want to send Sergio Reguilon to a Turkish club, or he will face months on the sidelines if he remains at the Premier League club.

Chelsea get dogs abuse for this kinda thing. Deservedly.

Reguilon can sit on his contract if he likes. January isn't too far away anyway.

Is that the opposite of being given Turkish delight :cautious: *

*Although Turkish delight is absolute trash IMO, like eating perfume!

It's a bit different here imo. Reguilon has been out of the team here for literally years and has been loaned out to three different clubs. It's not like he's a boyhood fan club regular (or starter, or vice captain) that we've suddenly decided on the eve of the season that we no longer require and sent to play with the kids because we need to make profit on sales.

He was part of the first team squad training with everyone else for the whole of pre-season, as he should have rightly been to honour our side of the bargain and to get him fit for the season wherever he's playing. God knows what his agent has been doing for the past two years to not have got him something by now.

If he can't find him something on similar wages, why should he move for a lot less?

Pretty sure this was a plot device in one of The Witcher short stories.

And the abomination that was the tv series, of course.

An unwanted Spanish footballer had locked himself in his mansion and wouldn't come out until the fans had dispersed.

I mean he shouldn't if he only cares about the money, I'd just think they'd be looking at the situation and seeing the money tap being turned off soon and wonder how desirable giving him a fat signing bonus is going to look when he hasn't kicked a ball for 12 months. If he doesn't have the ambition anymore to play at the top level come what may then I'd imagine that's part of the reason that he's fallen out of favour here.
